The beam seems to extend equally in both directions...am I blind or something? :( I've always figured myself to have good vision, I don't wear glasses or anything. |

They all remind me of a cannon just look for the built up end and assume its the base, then envision yourself being fired down the shaft while the opposing kinetic energy of the push goes the other way. |

Eh, from what I understood on the EVElopedia, you aren't actually "shot" in the direction of the beam, but rather teleported through a artificial wormhole/tunnel.

Though, graphically, it would seem CCP has decided to go for a more obvious visual effect which does seem to suit the jump-gate graphics a lot better. |

They always shoot you to the left.
You may have to adjust your camera angle to see this properly.
If for some reason it shoots you to the right, you're looking at the back side of the gate. Look at the other side next time.
