I have installed EVE for OpenSUSE and I got a few issues.
1) I get a black screen after splash and have to wait few mins until I am able to log in.
2) Unable to use keyboard when in game. Can't even quit.
3) Graphics are all dodgey.
Can anyone guide me on how to fix these problems, especially the keyboard problem.

1) I'm not sure, but probably you have to change audio device in cedega options from hw to default
2) Enable 'managed' option in cedega settings
3) Still no solution

Reply here with the config report. That would help a lot for most of this.

i am running eve online prem with wine opensuse 10.3 and have no major problems but have to log in safemode cos pc crashes cos suse got 3d enabled problem with my screen (working on the problem)
for me to install eve on suse 10.3 32bit or 64bit i have to copy ariel.ttf font to fonts in the windows folder in wine directory.
as for linux version for suse the fps isn't as gd as with windows version running with wine

Can you guys post your hardware specifications, also can you check which Nvidia driver version you are using. When experiencing problems its key to give as much information as possible. It makes it easier for others to find out what might be the problem.

I'm going to assume by 'EVE for OpenSUSE' you mean the official crappy-graphics client.

Try pressing the space bar after the splash screen. The Cedega window may not have focus and needs help asserting itself.

You may have problems with your XVidmod or XRandR extensions. Transgaming's client uses these extensions to force the mouse to stay in the window, which can leave you with the keyboard typing into another window (or the desktop) uselessly.
Unless you also have paid for Cedega there is no way to change those settings without getting down into the guts of Transgaming's "Cider" environment.
If you were using wine I'd suggest you try bringing up something else like notepad.exe and see if that is also having issues.

Most of this is also available from the Cedega client in the Edit menu under the System Information/Hardware option.
The two eGefore 8600 GT cards are doing SLI in my PC. I also know that I am running GNOME 2.11 on two ViewSonic 40" flat-panel monitors with Compiz via fusion-icon (0.0.0? WTF?.) Eve plays awesome above 1900x1200 resolution.
The Official client only gets 11 fps, pegs the CPU and has frequent texture corruption requiring removal of the game cache. Plus many links (like the eve-online.com link in the help window) crash the game.
Under wine 0.9.55 or later, the Premium client gets 40fps, much lower CPU usage so I can run many other applications at the same time. There is a rare model corruption bug after messing with the Eve quit windows. However, I can still play when the models are inverted. Restarting Eve fixes that.

"frequent corruption?" removing game cache?? huh wha? If the in game gfx start looking corrupted, how about "escape menu > graphics> change from 24 bit to 24bit with 8 bit alpha." apply and get back in game. If it occurs again do the same process in reverse. There is NO NEED to delete the cache or kill the client.
(Unless, of course, you have other issues going on.)
11fps? Something is borked. The official client, properly installed and tweaked is yielding nearly identical fps results to the wine client (and sometimes BETTER fps in certain areas.)
Oh and by the way, the "premium + wine" gfx corruption can be fixed the same way as the above fix for the CCP Linux Client.
As for the the issue with the mouse in your post. Uncheck dxgrab. For the keyboard, again sounds like something is borked on your end. Not having those issues AT ALL with the Official client.
