A dual international EVE player meet is being arranged, both on the same date (Saturday 5th April), one in Central London, the other in downtown Philadelphia PA. Below are the details of the US leg.
The meet will be just like any other meet you may have been to or heard about, the only difference is that later on in the evening the winners of the E-ON Awards will be announced, and, if present, duly crowned. No doubt we'll have some swag to give out and perhaps some surprise guests too.
Voting for the award finalists (nominated by Fanfest goers back in November and revealed in the latest E-ON) will begin very soon - preceded by a Dev Blog, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Needless to say that you won't have to be an E-ON reader to vote or attend - like all EVE players meet, this one is all about getting together and sharing EVE experiences.
The pub that's been chosen looks to be a good set-up, with rooms all over the place should things get crowded and a good food menu and friendly staff. Screens might well be showing some F.A Cup Semi-Final action, for those who like a bit of soccer (just me, probably).
Just to note that under 21s are welcome all day until 9pm (after which pub siege mode kicks in). I'll be there all day, staying as sober as a judge, representing EON and announcing the accolades - probably at around 5pm, roughly to coincide with the festivities in the UK (5hr time difference).

I might be able to make it. It's only a 3 hour drive from DC to Philly (actually faster since I drive fast).
Of course, if I happen to win that Best Fiction Writer E-ON Award, I'll definitely show up. Wink wink.

pah,5 hours by train (is almost doable, but thats one way!), 6 in a car.
Just a touch too far for me being an English bloke in Massachusetts. I'm just not used to driving for 6 hours and actually moving. My experience of a bladder busting 6 hour drive is from sitting on the M25 choking on fumes.
Perhaps one day it'll happen when I'm down that way for Cheese Steak (cause it was worth it last time)

Gonna try to be there, but you guys couldn't have found a pub harder to get to without driving/taking a cab. Broad street line is quite a ways away...

You can take a bus from Broad and South all the way down to 2cnd St. Should be a short walk from there.

Please, Crosby will be back by then and with him being out for these past 5 weeks its forced the Pens to dig deep and find themselves. I predict the series will be 4-4 this season and the Pens sweep the flyers in the playoffs IF the flyers can even make the playoffs.
