Noir. Academy was founded in September of 2009 as a response to many requests from younger, and inexperienced pilots to be taught the ways of Noir. and learn the basics of PVP.

Hi there i have returned to eve after about a year out and i am looking at joining a merc corp!
I have no PVP exp at all tbh but i will be willing to learn!an i really dont care about getting blown up **** happens ;)
if it would be possible to join up with u guys drop me a mail an we can talk in game!
At the minute i am just goin through the tutorial missions to find my feet again

The following requirements are all we ask to start. We are willing to work with pilots young and old. It is the pilot skill not just skill points that make a good pilot.
Noir. Academy Minimum Requirements:
At least 60 Days experience in Eve
A passion and patience for learning
Ability to fly a T2 frigate (Interceptor, Stealth Bomber, Assault Ship, EAF) of any race before you graduate.
Willingness to PVP, to kill and be killed
Mature personality and professional demeanor
Ability to use voice comms
Fly at least 10-15 or more hours a week. |

Good question. Our trainers do hold classes with NA then we fly and practice. As the goal is to get into Noir we have joint OPs. That is Noir pilots flying with NA, teaching and putting into practice technics discussed. Roams, gate camps, fleet fights all done together. Team work is crucial to our success as a fleet and you as a pilot. So working together and learning how to be part of a team can not be understated.

I have had experience in Many area's of eve over this time, However my PvP Experience is Limited.
I am looking to Join an active team of PvPer's who are willing to have a noob amongst their ranks.

It is funny that after 4 years think we are a griefer corp. Well we are not, never have been.
Below are the rules we fly with.
No "Smack" in local. Talking in local is fine. Smacking is not. If you don't know the difference you probably won't fit in.
Same rule as above for the EVE-O and Scrapheap or any other EVE related forums. No smack, conversation is fine.
Be respectful to each other. Drama will not be tolerated. Joking around is fine.
No neutral Remote Assistance in hi sec (repair, sensor boosting, etc)
No suicide ganking, we are not pirates. Lowsec 'piracy' is fine but you must keep your sec status above -2.0. No exceptions.
No can flipping, see above. You are, however, welcome to bait can flippers to your heart's content.
No use of 'wreck' mechanics to deliberately provoke PVP.
No use of 'logoffski' to avoid losing your ship at a gate/station/whatever. Likewise, no Self-Destructing to avoid giving enemies a kill-mail.

If you don't see people in the cafe you forgot the dot at the end of Noir. It should be Cafe Noir. 
Well the contract vs RvB is over. Tons of fun had by all. Many pilots I spoke with had never seen anything like it. On the first day we had hundreds of people fighting on one gate. RvB, E-Uni and NMG throwing down while ninja salvagers snuck in doing there thing. Leaving behind can after can till the sky was full of cans, wrecks and lost homeless drones. Mixed in with explosions, near and far. Like a fire works show while local chat was filled with good fights and silly pictures. Great fun! Salutes all around.

Yesterday, we had a class where the teacher drew up several tactical scenarios that the students are supposed to solve. Given a certain friendly gang composition, we went through which hostile fleets we could engage, how to engage and how to formulate exit plans. All under the pressure of time.
To say the least, it was very insightful and gives you an idea of how FCs think during an OP. |
