Cannot seem to log in at the moment. Just keeps sitting at the 'Getting characters' screen.
I have tried other online games (Everquest and Ragnarok) and they both work perfectly so I know it is not my ADSL.
Is anyone else having trouble???

The server was rebooted .. and it seems to be struggling to get back up and running at a reasonable pace.
Its not too often that something like this happens.
It may take some time to log in, but it does get there (eventually)

The reboot was to get folks unstuck. Since the reboot, the login server isn't the only ploblem. Once you get into the game, the lag doesn't get any better.
It is 10x worse now than it was before the reboot. 10 minute logins, 3 minutes to jump... game isn't even playable atm.

I get past the char selection screen but then get stuck at "Entering Space - Tuning in on sub-space frequency" - i think the servers are seriously ill ...

OK, shall just have to wait then. Hopefully it will be up and running soon, my ship was out in the middle of nowhere when the servers went down......

jep, seems like there is a connection problem, lags like hell, but I bet they are working on it
so just be patient, keeping that much servers up and running isn't an easy job

Yah this is nonsense, i was running fine before the reboot, except for the lag.... and then i try to log on and it gets as far as Activating Eldar Curunirr..... and thats where it gets stuck and after a while screen goes black and i have to escape, this is NONSENSE!

Ok, I finally took a (paid) account today and am trying hours to get in with no succes. I was able to somehow create my character finally, but since then it's 'Entering Space' and that's it.
I think this is a really bad start for me and I don't feel confident about this.

I know this is controversial and such
But I really think you guys should create a shard, I think you may be well over estimating eve's capablilties as one continuious shard.
I know you really don't want to, but the problems are ony increasing, not getting better. This is the 5th time I've had to talk about something like this and the lag in some systems is beyond belief.
Sorry, but i really think Eve Dev team shoul consider some options if it wants to expand it's player base
