Can anyone tell me if cargo scanners are 100% accurate, or if they can duplicate results like ship scanners?

I was told put a container in cargo hold & put items in it so items can't be scanned, but then what do I know? I'm new.

I'm pretty sure they show the contents of containers, but that wasn't my question

Yeah but the odds of being blown into oblivion increases because people assume you have something of value in there.
In all the time I've flown badgers across the system I've never been targeted by suicide campers until the other day cause I had can in my storage. And I would have laughed heartidly had they blown me up cause all that was in the can was a frigate and it's gear (didn't want to mix the items with a few other things.)

They scan everything, cans, courier packages, the lot. The only thing you can do is break up whatever you're hauling into 100s of packages to prolong the scanning time, by which you may or may not have gotten away.

Cargo scanners scan and show the whole lot accurately. In secure containers also. Just warp to 0 and you will be fine. No afk or you will go boom.

Cargo scanners scan everythin: cargo, containers, dirty socks.
(Yeah yeah, I just wanted to join in with yet another wrong "right" answer. No scanners are not 100% accurate, and will give incomplete/bogus data from time to time. IIRC, it gets more unreliable the farther you are from the ship you are scanning.)

There isn't anything in the database to show a chance or anything, so unless someone has a link to a KB article or dev post, I'd assume that any bogus results are just because the game is badly coded rather than an intended effect (dsync, overview showing stargates as red, etc).

I think they are, i did a small test and from the 10 scans i did they all came out the same.
