Hi
I am tired of getting my butt kicked in PvP.
I'm looking for a highly skilled pvp/bounty hunter or pirate willing to instruct this character in the art of kicking someone eles butt in 1 on 1 combat.
I'm thinking the Caldarie line of ships kestral, BB, up to raven.
Anyone willing to take on an apprentice??

This might just be the birth of a "new" trade in Eve: paid PVP teacher.
Question though, can't you just join a pvp active corp? I'm sure you'll get to learn the secrets of the trade there...

Thats just what i was about to suggest. I wont even start to compare myself to some of the pilots out there since i'll probably get endless amounts of flame but i've tought PvP a few times before. My corp is mainly about doing what you like as long as you enjoy yourself (it is a game after all) but myself and a good friend mainly focus on combat. We are still learning new tricks (as are the vets i'm sure)but your welcome to join us if you'd like. --------------------------------------------- The world is a battle field, pass me my gun! Join Reikoku or Celestial Apocolypse. You'll learn PvP pretty quickly there, and they are great people. -------------------------------------------- Dead

Why 1 on 1 in particular?...
Is there someone you want to kill? Most combat in eve is geared around fleet/group combat if you join up with a corp that focuses on pvp this is what you will most likely do Sass Arcane Technologies |

Edited by: Shadowthrone on 29/03/2004 14:00:53 Get on to chaos,It is frequented by many veteran PVPers who are always willing to try out new set-ups in 1v1s or small group battles.
Its a good place to start to learn, but working well in a pvp team takes a lot more practice and can only be done through regular combat on tranq.

You must train under the great kung-fu pvp master...
Quote: KCC: Master, forgive me for I have failed. Poe: You have not failed no one Grasshopper, only your own ambition. KCC: My ambition? Poe: It is sometimes difficult, is it not, for you to remember that you are but a humble priest? KCC: Yet, as a man I sometimes greatly fear that I may fail. Poe: If that is our destiny, you cannot change it. But do not go in fear, Grasshopper. Fear is eternal darkness. Go instead with inner strength. For it is like a deep river, into which all streams flow. It increases, always moving forward. And soon, there is nothing that can stand in its way.û

Bruce Lee had this thing against traditional way of training kung-fu and karate. He thought that learning moves in slow motion was useless, one should always fight/move as real as one can. Meaning all that Chaos time is good, but on Tranq it all gets somewhat different, adrenalin and all.
On the other hand Bruce Lee did die young --

Never consider what you can acheive on Chaos as anywhere near what you can do on TQ.
In Chaos nobody uses warp-jammers/webifiers/warp-cores because they all try to out-gank each other.

That's why fighting on TQ is *easier* than chaos. When you win most fights on chaos with TQ setups, you often kill people using all best named stuff and no warp core stabs, warp scramblers etc that they would use on TQ.
Of course, if you want to learn PvP on chaos, use stuff you can afford (to lose) on TQ!
(Also, I'm not saying that if you kick ass on chaos you kick ass on TQ...)

I'd be willing to take on an apprentice. If you live in a US timezone, and are willing to use teamspeak then look me up in game. We are Mercenaries with plenty of experience.

Agreed. Be nice. I think what your looking for is not just a corp, but a corp that is in an active alliance.
I would suggest VOTF. If they are hiring. FE is the best PvP corp in the game you could learn alot, but the emperor smells like old cigars and fish. m0o would be good, but Zap can be a little harsh to newbies.
I could take you into crice corp as long as your on US time. I would set you up with Alustrious, she is a blood thirsty PvP *****.
Just look for something more than a corp that has lots of fights. If you lose your ship a all fighting corp isn't going to help you get your ship back unless they have industrial backing.

most of the pvp corps will have something to teach you if your super green to eve might wanna try merc frigs for a bit
or omegas noob corp i forget its name
if you are not new to eve there are crap loads of decent fun pvp corps full of good guys that could teach you stuff
pending on wich side of the political fence you could join the good guys or bad or the ones that just do their own thing its all fun
allaince wars can be fun they are rarely at peace and tend to have some one to fight all the time but it adds a whole new level of eve politics wich may or not be for you
small "pirate" corps or bad guys could probobly be alot of fun also
or you could join one of the mega pvp corps if they are hireing ive fought alot of decent guys in fe i mean they are ebil and all but we both know its a game and have fun
ca has alot of good pvpers sa has some also
if you get turned down by some one ask if they have any allies that they know are hireing
like right now i know rkk isnt hireing but some of our friends are im sure so are or enemys
just join a pvp corp you like and if its not for you maybe move over to a corp they are allied with the or enemys camp
