Odd, I get exactly the same thing play for ages or sometimes just a few minutes then...random black screen and PC restarts.
NVidia GeForce 7900 GT x2(SLI) 2 GB RAM AMD 64 Dual Core 4400 Windows XP Media Centre
Downloaded and installed latest drivers (clean install following the boot.ini fiasco too).

Have you got the Microsoft Error Reporting utility active. I can be quite useful at pointing you towards potential problems when you get system restarts.

I get the exact same thing. Black screen, and computer doesn't reboot, but needs to reboot. I have the same specs as Marie: NVidia GeForce 7900 GT x2(SLI) 2 GB RAM AMD 64 Dual Core 4400
And also would like to add that I have Realtek audio. I've noticed that if I disable audio completely, that I can pretty much play without trouble. So I don't know if it's a Realtek issue (lots of posts regarding long term issue with this), or if the Nvidia cards around 7800 or 7900 seem to now be a trouble trend.

If you have a problem with automated reboots, then you first need to turn them off, after turning them off you will get a BSOD which will more likely give more information about the problem, than the automated reboot.
If you donŠt know how to disable the automated reboot, take a look at the MS knowledgebase youŠll find the needed information under the headline "Recovery Settings"
Feel free to post the BSOD as soon as you get him
