I've just had to bail out of a fight in Empire Space because some dumb-ass ****head (Vien from Temerity Corp. [T.CO]) thought it would be a fun idea to approach me and get in the way of my missiles. It suddenly dawned on me that he was 260 metres from my ship and orbiting me - it's sheer luck that I didn't actually hit him.
I know for a fact he was trying to get in the way of my missiles because I was 60km from the gate and not between the gate and any warp-to object.
I'm not accusing archangel sean [STK-S] of collusion but it really ****es me off that 2 guys flying Caldari ships can't even have a fight in Empire Space without dumb idiots like Vien trying to get in the way and spoil a fight.
Why do Caldari players have to use a different ship in order to take part in war in Empire Space?
Why do turrets get the advantage of being able to pass through objects?
Don't you realise that when you input your new standings/war functions there'll be even more wars in Empire and the number of complaints about missiles will rise?

Dude clean that puddle of tears up afterwards, m'kay?
All the angels and the puny men of god looked away... Frightened to death by the evil that was born on that day!

Oh Joshua.
It is not about the missiles, it is about CCP and the GMs who do not consider that lame tactic as an exploit. So go ahead and start using it to your advantage or simply do not use missiles at all.
As much as I understand your anger, the missile system is ****** up, sentry guns shooting them in 0.4-0.0, while turrets always hit and so on.
Wars in empire space, how fun, but I always have to puke when I recall Mr. TomB a.k.a. The Perfect Carebear speaking about them in one of the CSMs and a trillion of lamers petitioning the hell out of you.

One final thought - removing missile collision could well speed things up too

CCP doesn't seem to understand this issue, or even want to try to understand it. It is a huge flaw in missile combat, if Caldari are truly supposed to use missiles as their primary weapons, then this must be rectified. Somehow I doubt it will be though, CCP just doesn't care.
Their response is "ya that really sucks doesn't it? we hope to one day make turrets act crappy and exploitable like missiles, probably after we release kali or something LOL, till then, suffer stupid Caldari n00b, ROFL". :/ ------

these highly advanced missiles with their exceptionally intelligent guidance systems should not arm themselves immediately upon launch.
remember "The Hunt for Red October"? Capt Ramius swiftly closes to inside the arming distance of his foe's torpedo, causing it to dud. "remove safeties!" says his opponent.
it's very sensible, you wouldn't want your missile to go bang soon as it leaves the tube from hitting a space-pigeon. but firing into a mass of civilians should still result in collateral losses (ie you, to concord).

Firing turrets at enemy corporation in empire if your corporations are at war is OK. Firing missiles at enemy corporation in empire if your corporations are at war is SWIFT SUICIDAL DEATH VIA CONCORD.
Uhm yup, no problem here..
Missiles should not detonate on objects/ships that get in their way, end of story. This is not a shooter game, it's a MMO game, you can't aim your weapons, you shouldn't be penalized in this manner for using the weapons designed for your ship.
CCP, fix this issue already. It's an old old old issue now. ------
