This is talking from a fuzzy memory, so Wiki it.
Very, in the form of England being the sole Protestant nation in Europe and hence a threat to Catholic France, Spain and Germany. If I recall it was an alliance based on the installment of a Catholic King to restore control to the Pope which lead to the Legendary battle of the Spanish Armada.
Which also lead to England and subsequently British supremacy on the seas for the next 4 centuries.

Nah, the simple way would be to lure you into a false sense of security and force you to live in a portaloo in the middle of Llandewi Brefi (Wales) for 2 weeks.
If we can salvage your remaining sanity we will have all the information and reality TV we need.

Getting sheep and an oxygen supply inside a Whale would prove a challenge, however in Wales, and Aberdeen and certain places in southern USA there are many jokes concering sheep and men screwing them.

Write an outline first - start with a few main points and get more detailed until you basically have your entire essay, sentence per sentence, in list format. That way it's a lot easier to see and expand if you have to. ---------------- Tarminic - 31 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.78.2 |

Sorry, Elizabethan history is not my area.
It depends on what you mean too by religion as a threat to the power of the throne.
Elizabeth's father, Henry VIII broke with Catholicism over his right to divorce one of his wives. IIRC, this break was part of the justification for the war between England and Spain that led to the sinking of the Spainish Armada. Here, certainly, religion as an external force was a threat to Elizabeth's crown.
However, there was also, Mary Queen of Scots (again IIRC) being a Catholic was a threat to Elizabeth in that there were Catholic hold outs in England who wanted her to replace Elizabeth on the throne.
So ... it depends on whether you are talking about an external threat or an internal threat - or both.
That's about all the help I can give you on that - other than to point you at Wikipedia's page on Elizabeth I.
The other help I can provide is a quick read on how to write a paper.
The way you write a paper is - you tell them everything three times.
First: You tell them what you are going to tell them. (This is a short version called the Introduction).
Second: You tell them. (This is the long version where in you expand on each of the items in the Introduction).
Third: You tell them what you told them. (This is another short version called the Summary covering the same points you listed in the introduction).
For the Introduction and the Summary you can practically just change the tense of what you said from future to past and use the same text ... just ... don't get to blatant about it. An example would be stating in the Introduction "We shall see that ..." changed to "We have seen that ..." ... but like I said ... don't be to obvious about it ...
One of the advantages of this method - beside the fact that the organization leads the professor to think you know what you're doing ... at least to start ... is that it lets you use whatever material you've got 3 times. Thus ... say you have to write a 10 page paper. You can get by with only about 8 pages of actual work, the Introduction and Summary taking up the extra two pages.
Another thing that helps - is to be as pompous as possible. I used to do that as a joke but ... it turned out my professors loved it.
I.E. :
"The Internal and External Threats of Religion Upon The Power of the Throne in Elizabethan England - An Analysis."
*shrug*
Got me a Master's in History that way ...
Of course ... that master's proved to be really useful for working on computers ...
No ... Really ... It did ...
