If i had to vote i would vote for Papa Smurf.
I specially like the way he answers all the questions when he has a little time. If you want to see for yourself just visit the Missions forum.
Other GM should follow his example.

Hey,
I know he's not a GM, but Papa Smurf absolutely rocks. I have never been involved in a game where a developer spent more time communicating with the playerbase. PapaSmurf, you are the greatest!!
As for GMs I like GM Abraxsas(sp?)

GM White is the best because he always goes out of his way to be as akward and obtuse as possible, and you just know his main character is a carebear :) White, the scordite is calling you......

The E'n'B Dev team for shutting it down! Thanx boys you have made Eve even better by bringing a new influx of players to Eve, giving our dev's more cash to spend on Eve thus making it even better than it is now.
Thank you EA, keep up the good work 
(Btw the Eve whole dev team are the best I have ever seen, you can tell by just look at the game we are all playing)

Papa Smurf actually answers people on the forums. I dunno if this leaves him w/ enough time to make agent missions tolerable, but he gets my vote.
I vote for Orestes as the best Polaris dude... I know he's not a dev.
2nd place for Polaris was easy to decide. Eris Discordia is a babe, but she always mods my posts.(In actuality "she" is prolly a "he" and is a 400 pound Icelandic dude w/ a beard named Gunthur)

Devs right:
close call between TomB and Papa. I'd probably go with TomB even though he get's flamed to hell and back sometimes he still makes the right calls IMO.
But they are all awesome, and provide us with one of the best games ever.

I vote for Papa Smurf because he believed MMORPG means you know... player - developer interaction :-) Instead of Developer Spin session (CSM) and no follow through. Dialogue actually means post, respond, counter - post. Instead of Post and forget.... GJ Papa Smurf!

Yep, it has to be PapaSmurf! Friendly posts, and he doesn't just come across as throwing crumbs off the table - you really do feel that some sort of interaction is going on there.
I'd give Tortifrans an honourable mention, his posts are equally interesting and readable - and likewise he sometimes responds to responses. PapaSmurf wins out due to talking more about the work going on in the game though, maybe its because you can only go so far with 'I used a nice shade of red today on the in game news article picture' :-)

Papa definitely. He's the only nonplayer i ran into after months of "why do my freakin' Minnie agents sell me slaves" who seemed to give a crap. I suspect he had rather greater plans for interactive storylines and plot-points (imagine!) than we've been allowed to have, and kudos to him for plugging away back there. Thanks man. If you ever tire of the head+brick wall maneuver there's a spot in Oracle reserved for ya

Papa Smurf for these reasons;
He is honest and forthcoming about errors in the game.
He is direct and honest about what he can tell you and what he cannot.
He clearly does not have a bloated ego, and respects the people he is dealing with as opposed to viewing himself as above them and it shows in everything he does with the community.
