A corp mate of mine says you can anchor titans and motherships at a POS. I disagree.
Who is right?

No. You can't anchor them.
At most, you could store them in a cap ship array - but if you store a titan in a POS, you better trust everyone who has access to that POS to A) Not steal it and B) Not tell anyone, ever, that you did it. ----------------

No, you can't anchor a Titan at a POS.
He'll say I don't count because I have a "!", but more people will be along soon enough. ________________

As I said to him, technically we're both right, the cap ship array is anchored... There for the ships in said array are also anchored.

A safe is bolted to your floor. You place a $100 bill in the safe. The $100 is now bolted to the floor.
Nope. Sorry. Fail.

Edited by: Knox De''Mortis on 10/02/2008 08:31:17 Sayin it's a fail makes even less sense... unless you know the combo, or blow up said safe... yes your $100 bucks is bolted to the floor.

I never said you closed the door. Merely that the $100 bill was in the safe.
Don't make me start on how simple English alone defeats your argument.

"Anchor" a titan? That makes no sense at all. As was mentioned, the most you could do is store it in some sort of cap ship array, but to my understanding that can only happen when it's being built, and once a pilot is actually flying it the most they could do is leave it in a POS shield if they wanted to get out of it. I could be mistaken about that, though, as I, obviously, have never flown or known anyone who flies a supercap, but yes, you most certainly cannot "anchor" any sort of ship to a POS.

Time to pony up the dough, Kemosabe.
Claiming a cap ship is anchored because the array is anchored is like claiming a tire swing is rooted twelve feet under the ground because it's tied to a tree. ________________

But if a ship were anchored, then the person on the ship is anchored?NO.
Its stored inside an anchored container, its not necessarily anchored itself because whilst ships are docked, they bob up and down thus the titan must inside the anchored device,if they are moveable they arent anchored.

You can anchor things in Pirates of the Burning Sea, so I'm told.
