We have our first two corps wanting to join the alliances, both 10/12 man PvP corps.
We almost have all the isk we need donated to make the alliances too, we'll get on to it as soon as we have the cash.

When the alliances are created we expect the numbers to swell even more than when we first started. It also will make it possible for people to join in without effecting their employment history.
The list of excuses for not joining in grows ever shorter!

I've been a member of Blue for nearly a week now and its the best week I've had since I started playing Eve. Had never PVP'd before and have lost a good few Rifters so far and have only had one kill, but I'm learning and having fun.
Tonight I may risk taking my Vexor out or quite possibly my Myrm.
I'm almost out of ISK but to be quite honest, I dont care, I'm having too much fun.

This may be kind of off to the side of the topic here, but I was just wondering if you guys have had any wardecs from random 3rd parties? Wouldnt this kind of throw a monkeywrench into the works, or do you have some sort of plan to handle that?

We've had wardecs from multiple 3rd parties and we've fought them.
More targets tbh. Some of our members have preferred just to fight RvB.
There'll be less need for 3rd party decs now, they can just join us for a week if they fancy when the alliances go up.

How refreshing to see actually people playing for FUN !!!
Lately EVE become like a second job all too serius and worry about money, we should live that for the real life not a game.
Game suppost to be fun, that you relax and enjoy.
Well done to you all to open the eye of some people that EVE is only a game.
Now CCP give them free frig and fittings.

I don't post much on the boards, but I really have to support the guys here, I joined Red a short time ago, being very much new to pvp, I've had my first kill mails (and a lot of new loss mails ) and have gained a lot of experience, as it stands I'm doing OK on the kill board despite mostly flying cruisers and frigates.
We have a ton of experienced pvpers in both corps, as some of the corps who wardecced us have discovered, but everyone has shown a lot of patience with us less experienced pilots.
To be honest this is exactly the kind of thing that those people decrying the risk averse carebear population of Eve should be encouraging. I certainly never thought I would be flying battlecruisers into combat with Blue before I started, and I've seen a lot of new players joining up initially scared to leave the station but soon flying their pod back to the station for the fourth new frigate of the night. I've certainly learned a lot about basic survival in EVE, and I'm not quite so worried about the prospect of my corp being wardecced as I once was.
If you are thinking about joining up, go ahead you've got nothing to lose that you aren't prepared to risk, you can even leave periodically to rebuild your devastated wallet.

this is a bloody great initiative. Props to everyone involved. I'd call the the factions: The Good guys (blue) and the Bad guys (red). also there should be an The Ugly guys alliance
