My Damnation has 35k armor hp and with hardners etc has effective 340k hp. So yea, command ships can tank DDDs :)

Aha, try boosting when you have 2 minutes module lag. By the time you push to stop boosting you're out of cap.
I'd put 3 t2 LSE and 2 shield extender rigs on my Claymore.

Certainly. . . if you're not in a bubble or lagged out enough to make warping impossible.
I'm always amused at the triviality of tanking EM DDs with Minmatar T2 ships.
Wolf with 2 EM hardeners, 400mm plate and DCU II is worthless for much else but can take 3 Judgement hits.
Hell, even a Claw can be made to tank a Judgement. It takes Slaves and rigs (or overheating) and totally screws you over for doing much else, but it can be done. After the EM resist nerf it'll be much harder, though.
Tanking the Thermal/Kinetic/Explosive DDWs is the hard part.

I have a far easier solution. Don't be anywhere near the DD, instead, go jump in a hulk, go to 1.0 sec, and mine veldspar.
Or log off.
