Welcome and good luck on your travels. The game is very deep and can be daunting at first but don't give up!
Do the tutorial and if you have any questions just ask in this forum.

Hi, welcome! This sub-forum here is probably the friendliest of them all; don't be afraid to ask questions.
The stickies at the top of the various sub-forums have links to some decent guides. Also, the Player Guide on the menu to the left is worth reading. And for leisure reading, especially about ships, the EVE Wiki has a nice section.

Meh I'm a year and a half old and I just learned how to open the fitting screen in space. Besides, with all the changes from patches and such, we're ALL playing catch up to one degree or another

There are guys in my corp that have 4+ million Skill Points then me and I still answer some questions that they have, and obviously, vice versa.

My question to this is why would one need to open the fitting screen in space. I do remember wanting to do this along time ago, but for the life of me I can not remember why. As of recently this has not been an urge of mine, so I am interested in why one would want to do this.
Once again Thibauld enjoy, read the stickies, and do not get to attached to any one ships for it may be gone the next minute.

I use the fitting screen in space all the time when trying out resistance modules.
CTRL+SHIFT+F - you can see the resistances, activate your shield hardeners and you see them change.
If I've just undocked to run a mission and think "oooops, did I change the Guristas fit for the Sanshas fit?" it's much simpler than redocking.
Cheers Falka

Remember: Those of us who survive in EVE are constantly learning and wary. Those of us who thrive in EVE are adapting constantly.
Scams and tricks spring up and evolve constantly. And if you start to get the feeling that "they're out to get you", then you should start learning a little faster. Be paranoid. Dream up and test out some tricks of your own.
Look around and experiment a bit. Learn what kind of play you prefer. Find some like-minded sorts to run with. Or not, if that's how you like it.
Most of all, have fun doing whatever you do. _______________________________
