Hi,
I am hoping someone might be able to give a bit of their wisdom.
We are due to be setting up a pos in 0.0 space where we will mine and rat for loot and salvage.
We do however have a problem and that is as the corporate array doesnt contain a individual area how can we control and monitor who puts what into the array.
At the moment we would be buying the mins that are inputed and also the loot and salvage. But we wont know who is inputting what so we cannot think of how to do this? We could have in an ideal situation up to 40 or 50 people using it so it could get a bit out of hand?
Sorry for rabbiting on a bit but how do you manage it? Any help or advice could be invaluable to us.
Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but perhaps you could use containers that have audit logs so you can see who puts what in and takes what out.

If you can trust all your members you could give all members their own hangar array and the right to online/offline them when they need to put stuff in (taking out doesnt require them to be online)

It is a big pain in the arse tbqh and honestly there is really no really good way to manage this. Secure containers are too small to hold ore/minerals/alloys. People steal and borrow other people's stuff without asking. CCP really needs to give individualized personal secure hangers at POSes.

An Idea I've been playing with (but havent tested or finialised all the details yet) is:
If we created two new sections within the corp divisions Ie "To be processed" and "processed" everyone but the designated person/s has access rights to add things to this area but not to take.
So example:
Bobx is sitting at the pos and says to himself "I am going to do a bit mining it'll be great" so off he flys in his hulk and does a bit mining he also blows some rats up and loots and salvages them. He then dumps it all in the "to be processed" area and sends an email to whoever (or maybe a mailing list) with details like how much ore he's inputed and what modules or idealy how much m3 in modules hes put in (faction loot should be named not apart of the m3). Then Jimx logs in sees Bobx's stuff in the to be processed but also other peoples stuff that they have added since it was last checked. Jimx then checks his mails and from that knows exactly what has been contributed and by who. He then makes a note of it all and moves it to the processed section and pays the people based off what they contributed.
As I've said this is something I have been thinking about. We might not implement it and it might not be any good obviously you'd need to decide yourself and also decide how much you'd pay for the xm3 in loot and salvage (as it might take too long to work it out based off names maybe a excell sheet could help with that?).
You might need more than one person with the responsibility to check and also might need to give said person a bit of a cut as it might take a while to sort through (unknown at this point).
Anyway as I've said I myself am not sure if this is a good idea or not but its something to take onboard.
P.s I like the multiple corporate arrays idea! nice one.

There's no good way within current game means. That's especially true with a medium to large sized group where not everyone is perfectly trusted (which is 99.9% of the time).
One way is to anchor multiple corp hangars at a pos. The person who is mining can online their hangar, drop their stuff in, and offline it when they're done. (Bookmarks named 'Bob's Ore hangar' inside a division can be used to identify a specific hangar work, but trust is required for all members.)
This problem is magnified a lot with ore, rather than loot, salvage, or alloys. By far the easiest personal hangar is to load a hauler with your stuff when you're done, then log in it, or float it at the pos if you're a trusting person. Ore is too big to do this.
CCP really needs to look into most advanced roles (per division per corp hangar) to effectively fix this. Also if general freight containers (or something of similar size) were accessible within a hangar and were password protected, or could be accessed while floating in a safespot, we'd have a bit of a workaround.
A bunch of people living at a pos is really like a little commune, theres no good way to keep personal items. It can be about as awkward as a family of 5 living in an apartment with one bathroom.

This is probably the best way available to do it. Only allow corp members rights to put stuff into this hanger, but not to see what is already there (so someone doesn't see something nice already there and send an email saying they put it in). Then give one or two people the rights to access this hanger. They would also need corporate wallet access.
You have to make sure the corp trusts the person whose job it is to process everything out of the hanger and make payments, make sure they were able to do so on a regular basis, make it understood when those payments will be made, and ensure it is well advertised if a payment will be late / missed, otherwise people will get frustrated with the system, and not want to be a part of it.
The processed folder could be open for everyone to view, functioning like a company store. It would probably be up to the same people who run the payments to give people items from the store, payments for items put in the input folder could be isk / items or both. "I added x, y and z today, can I get that ORE minining laser and 2 warrior IIs from the store?" Probably have to use secure cans to ensure the store items get transferred properly. This can be more trouble than it's worth though.
Just my .02 isk worth from my experience.

For more than a dozen people you are really left with logging in an alt hauler or using GSCs.
Not just for this reason but for many many many other reasons the entire corp hangar and corp permissions system needs a huge overhaul. We need user definable sub-hangars with their own permissions just as a start.

I keep some pvp gear at a non-station system right now so I know what you are talking about. We have pos's but I keep my personal gear in a giant secure at a safe spot. The pos is there for ammo and donations for people to do whatever they want with... If the corp is going to be refining ore at the POS for the members then the best way to do it would be to drop the ore into a tab they cannot take from, then they drop a bookmark with their name and the type/amount of ore they dropped in. This could be followed up with an evemail or forum post to a certain person or thread.
