I decided to spend some LP yesterday on faction ammo, to try to convert it into ISK. I'm an utter newb with missles, so i wasn't really sure what the most popular ammo type was. I ended up buying a stack of caldari navy cataclysm cruise missle, and caldari navy wrath cruise missle.
So what type do you guys feel you burn through most often?

With the new changes that are on sisi, I would say that EM cruise missiles and EM torpedoes will likely be a good bet as well, if you can find some good hubs to sell them at (not jita).

I've done some trading in faction ammo, and the most profitable type changes daily as orders are placed and filled. I set up a spreadsheet to calc profits and its been all over the place. One day its Antimatter Charge S, the next day its Havoc Heavy Missiles, another its Torrent Assaults. There has NEVER been one "best" ammo type to sell, if you want to make the best profits you simply have to do the maths each time.
EDIT I should say it depends on WHERE you're trading them, since faction is preferred in PvP in some areas EM or EXP missiles sell really well of all sizes, but in a high sec trading hub they tend to fluctuate enough that theres no "best"

I know there is more math involved in terms of making a profit.
I do more market checking than I want to do for manufacturing and invention, so for trading in LP's, I'd like 1 or 2 *typically best* options, while accepting that they vary from time to time. If someone could tell me "kinetic missles because kinetic is the best damage type in missions on average" and the majority of people agree, that would be a good enough answer for me.
Feel free to send me that spreadsheet btw :P

I've been seeing more and more low sec pirate gangs near the edges of caldari empire space using faction ammo. You might try sneaking to low sec with a load of ammo for sale. Might try, Maila or Ikahana as both systems have seen alot of activity of late. If that is the market you are going for though you'ld want to obtain em ammo and explosive ammo, as you mostly see caldari ships in these areas but gallente craft are a close second.
