I have an apoc for quite some time now and it¦s really a great miner but i¦m missing some parts to say it¦s a great fighter. I¦m working on a raven atm cuz it¦s a pure fighting ship. Should i get a raven or stay with apoc?

Neither really. But if you want a better fighter and the choice is between these two, make a blasterpoc or just fit 425mm rails to your apoc like the rest of eve.

Ravens are gr8 atm - But not sure after the next patch.
Apoc's are best miners and thats about it.

put 8 800mm autocannons on your apoc and tank it to the cows come home.

Dont forget the mwd so u can get in close enuff to the target so u can use ure 800mm's....

No, but i experimented with a projectile apoc. Got some very good results and that might be the reason to stay with it instead going for laser apoc. A projectile setup works excellent on an apoc cuz u can use ur big cap for mwd, shield booster or other energy sucking modules. My highest damage modifier was 7.7 with apoc, btw.
Only problem with projectile or rails on apoc is the missing ship bonuses.

It takes some time to train the skills to use an appoc with lasers. You might think about a projectile or rail and laser combo to save on cap, since lasers eat cap like candy.

Yea, that's what I've always thought about it. But it's still a good idea if your skills aren't quite where they need to be. It also varys your damage nicely. I've fought guys in Appocs who ripped my shileds down in a few seconds, but then coudn't do much to my armor and less to structure. Meanwhile, I'm happily chipping away at them...
