He was cold and it took him a while to realize what was happening. His first coherent thought was ôSomething must have gone terribly wrong in that last missionö. The Med Techs came in and helped him climb from the cloning vat. His legs were a bit unstable and he appreciated their assistance.
Sitting in the debrief room, drinking the protein and vitamin mix the Med Techs had given him to help his Cloned body adjust to activation, he reviewed the ship data and psych logs of his last mission. His target was a crafty one it seems. Had he known he had friends in the system the pilot would have switched to his Battle Ship rather than use his Stealth Bomber. The additional firepower and defensive capabilities may have made the difference between a successful mission kill, and waking up in the cloning vat.
Feeling stable, and energized the pilot stood and stretched in his ænewÆ body. He was ready to get back to business. Saluting the Med Techs, he walked out the Medical Facilities door, and took a lift to the stations Docking facilities. Walking to his Abaddon class Battle Ship he boarded and went to his quarters to change into his ship suit. Once changed he took a lift to the pod bay and climbed into his ships pod. Strapped in and cybernetically linked to his ship, he began the pre flight checklist. Checklist complete, the pilot began activating the ship systems that would transform his ship from an inert pile of Metal, Ceramics and Armor into the lethal and deadly killing machine it was designed to be. Massive energy weapons came online one after another. The powerful Warp drive warmed and indicator lights turned green showing the drive was ready to send his ship hurtling through space. Shield systems began powering up and the automatic repair systems came online. He was ready for the hunt. Contacting station control the Pilot requested clearance to undock. Moments later his ship was moved into position and squeezed out of the Docking bay into space. Activating his ships thrusters, the Pilot moved slowly away from the stations docking perimeter while the ships computer made the calculations for the first warp. He had a long way to go to catch up with his prey, and this time it was personal.
