Why eve chat box taking forever to load? almost everyone in my corp reporting it takes forever and i experience it myself whats up?

Yeah the chatbox loads like 5 minutes after I log. Overview won't load and takes a long time to refresh.

I understand that hamsterfood has suddenly had a sharp rise in price, so much so , that the regular supply to ccp has been somewhat disrupted.
However when the, once obsolete, viking supply ships come over from the now named European mainland, normal service wil be resumed.

Same here.
It takes 30 seconds or longer to load the chat window, sometimes it does not even get to load and I get dropped from the server.

Yep, joing channels taking a long time too. Bet it has to do with proxy server changes, a guess.

i'm getting the same issue. In an attempt to be more helpful, I'll also add that i'm connecting from Australia, and also confirm that it seemed to start when TQ fell over a few days ago.

I'm having the same problem. Might be my imagination but it seems to have gone down from 5 minutes to like 1 minute to load new channels.

I'm having this problem, too. It takes several minutes for the chat windows to appear (corp and local, one on the top and one on the bottom).
I jumped prior to the chat windows appearing, and I'm currently in two locals.
It started last night for me.

yup me too, someone loged on today and asked 'Why is my chat windows gone? What can I do to get it back?'
I laughed and said 'give it 5 mins'
I belive this has happened before - a year and a half ago or so. . .and yes, its since the 'restart'.
I am also getting DCed a lot more. . .

It might be because nobody wants to speak to you Cranberry.
But, yes I've experienced the same problem on both the last 2 log-ons. My 2nd account - which I usually log-on immediately after the 1st - doesn't experience it. However, this account has the 'clear cache' switch in the windows command line. (I've forgotten the correct syntax and I'm on a different PC right now). I wouldn't have a clue as to whether that's relevant though...

Hi, this is all to do with our problems with proxies and load balancing, causing chat to lag out.
It's being worked on as we speak but it's a symptom of the problem as a whole so there's no ETA as to a fix as yet.

I've been getting this too.
But I have also been getting "Protocol not connected crashes" it also said "Failed to authenticate" or something like that.
As far as I can tell, CCP 'fixed' something that wasn't broken.

I played for an hour today without any local or chat windows :P
And vent is flakey as hell since the 3.x downgrade.
Sometimes it makes me think it s got something to do with current air pressure. EVE fails mostly when my old wooden leg starts to itch and ache
