I wanted to no if anyone has any suggestions for fitting my reatrever for mining in 0.0. beacuse im moving out there and want to no the fittings i no there's bigg sized rats and stuff but my corp pretty much owns the system and need to no a good set up for mining. please post you suggestions =)

A retriever can't tank rats in 0.0. If you're not flying in a hulk, you'll only be able to take the retriever out when someone else is tanking the belt spawn, in which case you can fit your ship for max mining yield, just like in empire. (Two strip miners, a survey scanner, an MLU upgrade - MLU II if you can, co-processor in the other slot if needed for extra CPU.)

As as Thar mentioned, a Retriever has a tank made of tissue paper. It is NOT recommended to take that retriever out solo. (unless, of course, you're buying the replacements from me)
Since you're NOT going out solo, you need to just fit for mining.
2x strips - best you can use
1 small shield booster (you will get hit sooner or later)
OPTIONAL: 1 survey scanner (only if there's someone with a remote shield ready to save you)
1 Mining Laser Upgrade -best you can find/use
1 Co-processor - You're most likely going to need one to make the rest fit
Drones: Either go for 5 light scout drones, or 5 mining drones. Don't mix & match, just go for one or the other. Either way you go, you WILL lose some drones, no matter how careful you are, so you might want to make sure that there'll be a supply available.
When out in the belt, keep some space between you and the rocks so you can manuver. When (not if) you get targeted by something you can't tank (often enough), you'll need to get out of there quick. When rats appear (or hostiles are somewhere in the system) start accelerating your ship in the direction of your POS. If you get targetted by a rat, hit the warp button and you're quickly out of harms way (instead of waiting ages to get up to speed).
Since you're both new, and in a barge, you'll need to be more alert and paranoid than the average 0.0 survivor. Yes, they ARE all out to kill you.
