Lets face it eve is a beatuful game. Every few weeks I have to go through and clear out bigabytes of screenshots that I took for no other reason than it looked pretty. One of the best ideas lately was tha bility to capture a HUGE portrait of any character ingame via "capture portrait." This was insanely useful except that theres a bug in it where one of the character's eyes is missing from the portrait, and another where the character's eye(or eyes) become solid blue.
After taking up enough of my HD space with portraits I noticed a similarity which might help the devs track one of these bugs down:
On all character portraits taken which exhibit the "missing eye" bug, all of them have the right eye (that is, the eye on our left as we look at the portrait) is behind the left one. In fact it seems that without fail any character facing off to the left of our view should exhibit this bug. Characters facing off to your right have no problems with their left eye, its only characters where the right eye is further back in the z depth than the left. Just an interestign pattern to notice. I hope it helps.

once you have captured the portrait, you have the character id. with this you can look in your cache folder for the corresponding DDS file. Using any of a variety of freeware/shareware programs you can convert those DDS files to JPG or GIF..they are perfect and without the flaw you mention (which by the way occurs with the graphic of the female in the upper right corner of this web-page). The portraits are stored in 64x64, 128x128, 256x256 and 512x512 sizes.

And here i just thought she was cross-eyed. If they dont fix it here, not much chance ingame.

Or you can press your avatar in the forum and save that picture with fully working eyes
"viper zulu > toast has killed our whole corporation ships at least once"

What about all the pictures with no hair, or no clothes? This has been a bug since I started in October...
