Hi, could some1 aswer this question:
Im playing the trail atm *(love it btw) 
So if i buy the game do I get 30 days free ($19,95)
and can I continue playing with my trail char?
It's maybe a dumb question but I really need a answer.

Hello there, fellow trialist.. i'm on day 3 out of 3 and i think buying a new box gives you a different CD-key to the one your using now, which would mean the 30 days are for new accounts only.

I believe you only have to register your credit card (or gametime card) with your trial account and it will be charged the monthly subscription fee. No need to get a new account.
And yes you get to keep your trial character. Though I would reccomend looking your attributes over and perhaps start a new character with the attributes for the type of character you want to play. That is: Perception and willpower for a combat character and memory and intelligence for a more peacefull profession. Charisma is (currently) useless so dont go with that. Bottom line, review your current character and make sure you want to play with him/her since if you decide later that you dont, you will only lose more skillpoints.

I don't know if they let you keep the trial char.
Perhaps a DEV or a Polaris guy can give you an answer.
Go to the Help channel ingame and ask someone that knows.
Me thinks that perhaps a direct reply on this post from someone (dev) is the best "welcome to EVE" gesture avaiable from CCP.

Hi folks, welcome to EVE. Here is what you need to do to extend your 3 or 10 day trial account. This is a direct quote from a support article and you can take a further look at it and other articles here, just in case you didn't know about it. Anyways, here it goes:
"If you want to extend your account once the trial time has expired, go to the Account Management section and select Modify an existing account, log in and select the "subscription info" tab. From there you can sign up for a permanent subscription. Note that only the first month is $25.00, after which the regular subscription fees apply."
If you do this, then you can continue to play your trial character. If you are reading this and thinking about buying the game box to extend your account, then please note that you do not have to, unless you want to own a nice piece of coverart and the manual(which is now updated and online). Extending the account is enough, you then pay 25$ for it to begin with and included is one month, after that you can modify the account billing cycle to 3 or 6 months and here is how you do that:
-log onto the account management section of our website and log on to the "Modify an existing account" section. There you have to go to the billing info tab and click on the "edit billing info" link. Then you will be taken to a website where you can change the subscription type and billing cycle.
I hope this helps some of you and that this will make the registration progress easier for you. If you have further questions, then post them here and I will answer them if I have the time.
We GM's are a bit swamped with your petitions right now, but we are working on them as fast as we can. .

Hello,
I've just recently went from trial (10 day from FP) to full player, and am wondering if that is perhaps responsible for my lack of avatar generation on this site. I posted in the test forum as instructed elsewhere 3 days ago, and have been posting intermittently. Still no avatar...
Small thing, but would like to make sure my trial -> full isn't somehow hindering this process.

Sometimes avatars take a long time to update. The "avatar" machine might be borked or something, I know it has been befeore.

if you buy a boxed game you will get the free time but it will be a new account so your old char will not be usable (though this may not be a prob if you want to change your char).
It is up to you whether or not you wish to do this as you may like your current char and their situation but for an 'extra' 30 days it may be tempting to start again.

If you want to start a new character after what you have learned in the trial, remember to transfer the assets from your trial char to the new one.
You could set up the new account before the old one expires, and transfer the stuff across. If you only have one pc, refine everything, sell the minerals, convert it all into isk, then give the money to your new character. Or you can use a trusted friend as an intermediary.

if you buy the game and you were using the 3 day trial and you get the really game you keep your old acount. all you have to do is go onto modify the exesting file and you should keep your old file.

Hi!
I am on the third day of my 3-day trial and I would love to continue this awsome game. The problem is... I don't own a credit card. The solution, I guess, is game time cards.
So I went to the eve-store to buy me a 50-day card but then asked me for a credit card number anyway.
Can't you buy gtc without using a credit card?
Is it not possible to just send a bill or something? I thought the point with gtc was to make this game open to players like me, who don't have credit cards.
Or... I have just missunderstood a vital part somewhere |

Check you local game store, they stock them too :) .

The problem is that it's not easy to do normal billing over national borders - especially not when the whole world is your market and your national currency is Islensk Krona (small currency) - practically everyone would be shopping in an other currency than the one CCP use for their wages and so on. Credit cards are lovely because they take care of that automatically.
But if you have god well-stocked game stores close by it should be possible to get GTC's from them. Or you can borrow someone's credit card for a one-pop purchase of a few GTC's, and then you'll be good for quite some time. =)
(The main use of GTC's as I see it is that kids that want to play can have difficulties persuading parents to lend CC's to a subscription (I know of more than one that thought if you just quit playing there would be no more charges =), so if you instead buy a batch of GTC's and hand the money in cash to the owner of the CC it grants better security to the CC-holder)
Because, really, if you're allowed to by the bank, there really is no reason not to have a credit card. They're lovely little thingies - you don't have to see the money you spend! \o/

There is one more option, but it takes a few days to process each month. Its the pay by cash option at Pay by cash website you just send them a money order or check and they take care of the rest. (Money orders are easily purchased anywhere at least in the US they are. and I figure that cause some of the companys in the us are world wide you should be able to do it anywhere.)

tbh, if you only did the 3 day trial, it would be wise to buy a new account, get your 30 days free, make a new char and transfere all your isk and items to your knew char via escrow etc.
3 days aint much to catch up on.
