When is this going to be fixed?
Here it is in known issues for nearly a year now!
* Alliance corporations cannot see or retrieve copies made at Starbase mobile laboratories owned by another corp. in the same alliance.
* Alliance members cannot install copy jobs at a Research Laboratory at a control tower.
<Rant>
Why the **** has CCP not fixed this glaring issue? They turned off non corp copying as a temporary measure. They should trademark Temporary just like they did Soon.
CCP fix your bloody POS and POS research issues. Stop pushing them lower priority then some new feature that I will never use. Hire more developers into the fix bugs group, you can friggin afford it. I'd take the job in a heart beat.

yea, for fear of being banned i cant give the direct quote or the person who said it but the GM's have said before that they dont want to deal with the problem, and *****ed at the DEV's enough trying to get them to fix it because there was a large number of people who needed this to be done and they got tired of helping people over and over.
basicly the Dev's did poor design when it comes to the way POS's were made, this is also why even though the POS management menu leads you to beleve that other members of the alliance can do alot of things when it comes to the POS in reality there database relationship isnt setup to handle it and they would rather do.... actually i dont know what they are doing now. they havent given any indication so i hope that they are making "temporary" truly temporary. instead of the same as "soon"

Yup, im keen to hear a time of fix on this.
If not a fix can we have some kind of warning in game that alliance copying and such doesn't actually work. Silly me wasted a bill for an alliance, money for high standings corp, and of course POS bits *sigh* on the stupid belief things might actually work as they read.

And sadly it is still not fixed in Trinity 1.2 or at least not in the patch notes.

Seems they have updated the Known Issues. Removing 1 of the entries: "Alliance corporations cannot see or retrieve copies made at Starbase mobile laboratories owned by another corp. in the same alliance."
So perhaps it was fixed. More likely they decided that it can't be a bug if it ain't in the requirements doc. Which was written by some intern who was not in on the origional meetings on POS labs.

Hmmm. So how much lower will CCP's communication go.
Anyone that knows me knows I have drifted away from eve. I used to play 10's of hrs a week. I am realizing a large part of this is being caused by ccp's lack of communication. With what tiny communication that is coming out of them being of a type I don't give a rat's butt about. This is not the company I loved and evangelized for years. They have developed a corporate mindset, which seems to happen whenever a company grows to large for its britches.
After this post I bet this thread will die and be sentenced to unarchived status.

So Empyrean Age is about to be released, and no sign on the Patch Notes of a fix for alliance members using Copy and invention slots of POS labs.
Though I did find the Known Issues page again.
And it is still there, "Alliance members cannot install copy jobs at a Research Laboratory at a control tower."

So lets see. 6.5 months after initial post. 1.5-2 yrs since CCP turned off alliance members ability to use non corporation owned POS copy slots and invention slots.
I just read the Empyrean Age 1.1 patch notes. No fix for this in sight. CCP you really have dropped the ball on fixing this.
*ends rant before I start*
This is more an info post to say its still not fixed in such and such patch for future reference.

So how would ccp fix this? Create a separate hangar just for Alliance use? But then all corps in the alliance would have access to it. That doesn't sound good.
POS's were designed for corps and only corps. If you don't believe it, have your corp set and individual to +10 standings and have him fly to the POS -it will fry him fast. POS's only recognize corp and alliance standings.
I'm sure the idea of having a set of Alliance hangars has come up, but then you'd need one for each corp in the alliance and some complicated security permissions system for accessing them. Also not good.
So my personal guess is that it ain't gonna happen. Unless...
Maybe they could create a lab output option that fed the copies straight into a contract? Mmm, but where would the oopies go when delivered? Ok, so maybe give the labs a delivery hangar that's accesible to the alliance or even the public? You'd just have to make sure you were on the spot to scoop the items when you accepted the contract. Or maybe with the delivery hangar idea you don't need contracts at all.

don't expect this to ever get fixed...CCP didn't even find it important to comment on this ishue for... 9 months now... so...
but I think I'll just start bug reporting this ishue after every patch again and again. maybe someone want to join me? unluckily they broke their bug-report system today, but as soon as its fixed....
well prepare to get bug-reports CCP!

How about a lab output option that just puts it back into station they started job from, BPO is probably there for copying. And how about use ingredients from station for lab jobs that require ingredients.
