Armor tank the raven, put mwd and a lot of ewar in the mids and let it act as a support ship for the fleet. Or have a tackler and snipe with cruise while fitting damps. Although the fits bad the idea has merit it some situation.

Small gun for scrambler frigs while using cruises to snipe the big slow boats. I started out pvp in my mission ships too and then ended up actually fitting for pvp, maybe this guy is doing the same¿? I think the sustained tank here is high enough t0 tank a L4 mission, so does he need a better setup for that? I dont think so... Mc Fraser Eve Defence Force Insurgency	Posted - 2008.02.18 18:53:00 - [18] 6x cruise launchers for killing rats? yep 1x small gun for drawing agro? yes sensor boosters for locing at long range to use cruise missiles past 90km? yep cap rechargers so that you tank can run 23/7? yep double rep tank that is able to tank the lvl 4 missions you do? yep rigs to increase cap? yep medium drones for killing frigs? yep It ticks all the boxes as a good mission running setup. If i went out looking for a fight then i would prob fit tackling mods and cap booster in mids and maybe a bit of ECM. but if i was just doing a bit of mission running then this setup would do fine i cannot pick a fault with it

It seems like a decent armor tank, the launchers definatly utilize the ships bonuses, so where's the newb factor here. I used to sing to the same tune as many other players that Caldari always shield tank, Gallente always armor, ect... We'll since then I've learned much more about this game and realize now that alternative tanks can still be very effective. If you watched the last alliance trounament there were several effective armor tanked Ravens. I recently came accross an article that spelled out how a passive shield tank could be more effective on a Myrmidon than and armor tank.
