Why would you not always pick the Abad. I feel like it's superior in almost everyway. Except for the drone capacity of Geddon. I'm curious why the Geddon and Apoc are popular when like i said, the abadd just seems to be better.
I'm new to BS's also, so maybe theres something I dont know?

Geddon because it is a lot cheaper. Otherwise you are right, Abaddon is best. And Apoc is NOT popular. But gets a boost soonÖ that will prolly make it very popular with fleets at least.

look at the killmails for supercaps..so what ship is at the top? - thats what makes the geddon popular...
plus you can fit 5 heavy drones

Its popular because its one of the best bs around at least for gangs that is. That a tier3 bs has some edge over it shouldn't be surprising imo.
Edit: Apart from price geddon has some more variety on dmg types due to the drone bay. Also it has a utility hi which can be used for a large remote armor repairer or a heavy neut and other useful things. An abaddon needs to drop dps for that. Also the geddon will outdps abaddon by a small amount.

The Geddon also has a free 8. highslot which can be used for many nice things...

I agree, i love both. Sometimes i prefere the Abaddon and sometimes the Geddon.

More DPS and cap stability on geddon. 125m drone bay and spare highslot for remote rep gangs or a heavy neut. 8 low slots. Apoc has that optimal range thing coming up. v0v

Geddon-better with cap cheaper and more dps.
Apoc-with its sniping bonus it will snipe better.
