Hi, My standings for a few factions have now dropped below -2.0 as a result of doing missions.. Should I be concerned about this? How low can it go before it becomes a problem?

If they are npc corps, like sansha's or blood angels, don't worry.
If you're doing Minmatar agent missions, and your Amarr standing is falling for example, I'm not sure when (if ever) it starts to be a problem. My minmatar standing is 3.6 and the amarr has fallen to -0.6, but I have seen no adverse effect yet, even in amarr space.

If your Amarr standing get lower than -2 then concord in 1.0 amarr systems will shoot you down

Edited by: Shocky on 02/04/2004 13:40:43 Someone must know how this works? I see people with much worse standings than me who continue doing missions and think -5.0 is the limit... Is there anything in the faq about this coz I cant find anything.

I'm not sure there is much of a negative side effect to standing loss at the moment, beside not been able to get any decent agents in that faction. I'm guessing this might change with Shiva (as with anything), when more market constraints become possilbe, and if the SHGates become taxed.
As far as local security forces ganking someone with a low negative standing towards their faction, I've not heard or seen of this before. And as far as I'm concerned it shouldn't be as big an issue as security status.

IŠm not sure but I think CONCORD doesnŠt attack you but the amarr navy will. So if you are in a CONCORD system you are safe but if you go into amarr territory they will engage. It would make sense at least. __________ Capacitor research |

Well, i went through amarr a couple of times... even went to orbit a amarr navy ship for a couple of minutes... nothing happened... so...

I suspect it might be when you hit the infamous -5.0 mark.
As is the case with people hitting -5.0 security standing (getting whacked by Concord in 1.0 space), that might also be the turning point where faction ships will hammer you down.
Let's pretend I have -5.0 standing towards Amarr (not the case, but I've been working on it), then it'd kinda make sense that they'd shoot me down in Amarr 1.0 space.
This isn't verified by any means, and I take no responsibilities for typos, or subject inconsistenco through the thread. Alchohol and extreme tiredness does that to me.
Anyone ever been shot by faction ship able to verifiy this idea?

I got -4.98 with Gallente Federation, i didn't get shoot at all when i entered thier space, but i thought i better do something about as i was told by a reliable source that if i go to -5.0 i would get shot down.. im now at -4.42 with gallente and -3.25, i found the best way to get these ratings down with affecting the ones i have that are positive is by doing missions for Interbus... I hope this helps anyone who are near to what i was... may the force be with YOU at all times... |

I'm -5.07 with the Caldari State now, and I should be KOS in all caldari systems because of it, although I don't feel like trying it out. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |
