fieraofsun	Posted - 2008.02.18 22:32:00 - [1] I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THIS NEEDS TO BE POSTED. SO PLEASE MOVE IT IF NEED BE Are you tired of looking at the same old boring theme for your kill board? Do you want to spice it up a bit or make it look like your own website? Then you might want to take a look at this. So far I have developed two new themes for the EVE-DEV Kill boards. The 1st being developed for the KIA Alliance website. They wanted a very basic simple color matching template, nothing really to fancy. You can view that here there are no enhance graphics, itÆs merely just a color scheme that they wanted. The 2nd theme called Silent Night is a bit more enhanced graphically as well as by it's colors. Which you can view here I am currently working on a 3rd custom theme which should be out in the a couple of weeks. If you are interested in purchasing these the current template silent night, or any future template that I produce, please read the following. Services: - 100 Million Isk for a simple color matching template - 150 Million Isk per template, this will include adding your alliance/corp. name, or your logo for no additional charge, or any custom header that you might want up there instead of whatever is there -250 Million Isk to design a template that matches your website graphically, if you want your killboard to match your website graphically, and color style -50 Million for anything else you want done graphically. I can pretty much do anything. *EACH TEMPLATE WILL BE UPDATED IF NEEDED WHEN THERE IS A NEW KILLBOARD UPDATE* At which it will be given to the cutomer (who has already purchased it) for no extra charge. Purchasing: If you are interested in the current theme, simply send 150 Million isk in game @ feiraofsun, Please understand that because I have a real life job as well in (EST-US time) you will not receive the template right away, so please be patient. I will also need the following information so that I may send you the files. Template: i.e.; Custom Template, or the only current option (Silent Night) Name: John Doe In Game Name: *****le Alliance: Blah Email: [email protected] Custom Notes: ie; I want my alliance logo on the banner, or I want my alliance name. However knowing what is what and where it reacts to different places in the killboards is something different. if you want to see the full board go to www.gfxbybonner.com/killboard. It would by no means be difficult to change up the templates the code is easy to understand for someone who knows what they are doing, however you run into the issues of copyright laws, and unless the dev board. all their files are copy written so yeah I can go change the locations of boxes and such, but I would rather not get a lawsuit slapped on me. btw.. Its perfectly legal to change the EDK board in any way you want. So, meh ?.. http://killboard.karbowiak.dk - is a theme i "stole" from somewhere and then edited - can't remember where and i never got done with it. http://tri.exanimo.org is the current KB im messing with (and hosting aswell) where i've customised the kill_detail a bit and the same with the killlist and such. It aint hard, and if you pay isk for doing something that is **** easy - you should get shot :P - HOWEVER, If you messed around with the TPL files and actually made something that is truly custom, like the TCF board - THEN it would be worth talking about! ;) Sig has been removed until all images meet the signature image guidelines. Contact [email protected] to have your sig restored when all guidelines have been met.

But I guess creating something completel different like Iron and TFC would be good. its actaully taking the EVE DEV tpl files and changing them and so forth, I would need to completely rebuild and design a whole new kb layout and import.... That will take some time but not difficult to do. and considering I have a baby due any day now... and 3 weeks of maturnity leave comming to help my wife... i will have more then enough time to sit down and build something new. I'm just so tired of the same damn design and look. its played out. But going this route will make a bigger change and impact I guess.

I think I am in a pretty strong position to know... Uh.. I am short on cash.. So.. Seeing as I probably have a vastly stronger grasp on the killboard and how it works I will make the exact same offer as fireaofsun here. Contact me in game or respond here. I have quite a bit of time to play with, will host it on my own site(not the killboard just the demo of your killboard, I am not offering free hosting), and package it into a module you can turn on and off for easy upgrades etc. Also. I have implemented roles (not yet part of the svn, but soon) so you can have members assigned to post, comment, change ship and item values... Let Me know.. Feiraofsun's work is hands down better then that bs on your website... even that basic blue thing he did for us minus the banner (which he didnt design). And from what Feirs other post was sayin he is going to completely redesign a new board like IRON and TFC did. I would also like to mention as a person who deals with Copyright just about every day (being a Graphic Artist professionally) that I can see Feirs concern, considering EVE-DEV did stamp their product with a copywrite agreement, and because Feir didnt create his own type of killboard it seems that he merely changed a couple lines of code. Which therefor it was still EVE-DEVs files and programmers who developed the board that he was creating his theme for... and wow.... red, white, and some kind of light purple color... your horrible. Feir was simply offering the his services, and letting people know he can do it. You want to try and rain on his parade with some pathetic bs... get a life kid. and while your at it... try finding a better company to get a website from then those standard ass played out surreal media templates...
