Hello
In the last thread ( http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=708541 ) CCP said that this is repaired same way as the "Incompatible (Protocol)" issue but guys, this isn't the same error. The game won't start!
It all started after patching, I tried to start my client and I got Verification Failure -error, and after that a list with some .dll -files that were corrupted or something. So I rebooted and now my client wont start up, it just shows the splash screen and then closes. It doesn't even give me the error anymore. So I would like to ask what can I do to fix this really? Do I need to download the whole installer again? Because it's going to take damn long with my internet connection.

actually they are similar as the files in question hold things like version # and such..

Go into the following directory, and delete the contents:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CCP
Vista: C:\ProgramData\CCP
so just find this folder delete what it holds then try restarting

That doesn't work, believe me I did it but it still doesn't work.

Um... gosh, please help. I got the protocal error. Did the prescribed fix (deleted the CCP folder contents in user data). Now I get "unknown" for server status. So, I unistall eve, download the whole client and get "unknown". OK, so I redo the prescribed fix and I still get "unknown" for the server status. As implied above, I'm running XP, and the classic graphics package with a newly downloaded client. Any ideas?
