Actually, Jovainnon is hardly infested. Its usually like 40+ in local. This time around, since 2 weeks ago, its mostly empty

Its a big galaxy out there
You've caused a minor inconvenience.
They'll be back
Maybe... but it's better than doing nothing. At the least they have to move those characters, grind standings for a new corp, move ships & equipment etc etc and generally spend player time doing non ISK-making activities.
And the positive publicity may encourage others to join in. Now that it's been shown that they can be driven out, other corps in other locations are more likely to do so. There are only so many 'optimum' spots where this kind of activity is worthwhile.
When Metafarmers get dec'd by mercs we'll know it's working ;o)
(Mercs: take the money then dec the corp that employs you)

Today I saw something I barely hoped for - a deserted Ingunn , with no farmers left at all. More empty than most lowsec systems. Chinese new year celebrations have passed , the conclusion is that ISK farmers are gone for good.
I founded Metafarmers to clear Orfrold , which had at most 50 farmers in local. Ingunn local commonly went up to 200 less than a month ago. But thanks to the efforts of our many friends (and some enemies - Black Flag deserves a mention here) Ingunn actually became unprofitable to farm , we had a real impact on their activities.
This proves that lowsec space can be cleaned of the macrohauler scourge. Our work isn't done yet , many areas remain infested (Jovainnon , Arzi , Mamet to mention a few) so Metafarmers are still recruiting whoever is willing to help. Aspiring pirates can learn the trade in the Pillaging 101 channel , while seasoned farmer killers can join our Chaining Farmers public channel.
Yeah, you have done a good job there! Happy to see our local hunting grounds clear for scanning of real players. Now I just got 105 Bestowers sitting for sale in Ingunn with no buyer. Oh well, was worth the popping

Are they all in a corp called "Isk Farmers R us"? Or by some other really obvious means. Or do we just assume that they are farmers.
Or are we just saying , "No one mines my space Yarrr!"?
They spend 23 hours a day doing courier mission in low sec. Also some of them have even said so their selves in local and in private convos. Based on that most ppl assume they are. Now plz not another discussion on this forum about a subject like this the last one was uninteresting enough.
Good work guys. When they popped back after chinease holidays I thought there would never be an end to it. But seems you finally made it. awesome.

They will either be called "sekughfjsdfn", "klszzzosu" or "dfghjhghk". Else the new fashion is to take 2 random words and make them into a name, always with capital letter in the start of first word, and small letter in the start of the second word. An example of this could be "Dinner family".
They will also all be in nub corps and they come back to the same station camp over and over and over... No real player would be stupid enough to get killed by the same camp 4-5 times in 1 hour.

:)
Give us our fair share of the glorryy!
I saw you guys do a pretty sweet camp 4 months or so ago. You guys had 15 or so ships and once you were done there might have been close to 200 wrecks on the gate. Nice work, but I am glad that you didn't come back!
Ohh we came back multiple times. I wasnt in Muffins 4 months ago, but Ive been down there around 3-4 times on a Op to destroy. Farmers stopped going through the gates :)

Unfortunately for most people, Killing a bunch of Macros isn't justification enough to completely ditch their security status. I myself would still be doing it if not for that, since I have no desire to raise my SS back up from -10 a third time

Yes it did, metafarmers continues to vastly exceed my expectations. I thought it would take us a couple months to clear orfrold, we did it in little more than 2 weeks. They actually ended up with mostly negative standings to poteque.
I thought we would never clear ingunn. If you have ever seen our KB, lobster man once killed like 700 farmers in a single week!!!! That's just one of us!! For ages, the ingunn farmers really did not want to turn in the towel. I really have to hand it to our guys for being so persistent.

Update : Arzi is empty of farmers as well , thanks to the work of Under the Wing of Fury (from Atrocitas) local pirates who have been killing them for quite a while. Apparently one of their petitions went through and a certain GM did some much needed cleaning. The entire farmer corporations we were after for months have been banned. This would explain why Jovainnon is mostly empty as they were the same people.
This is the beginning of the end for lowsec farmers. Some of the last active ones are sitting scared in NPC corps in Ansen (lowsec pocket in Metropolis) Time will tell if we can finish them off despite the local antipirate pressure. Then , off to CVA space we go to clean the rest

Ive been supporting those Atrocitas guys both logistical and pvpwise in their war agains the farmers. not too much pvp wise though. trying to have some decetn sec still:p
and Ive seen a much emtyer locals now. Used to be 10-20 farmer haulers in all system 4-5 j around arzi and 50sih in arzi at all time. now its 0 while atroccitas are online, and just a couple when they think the route is clear.
anyways....about the cva area...the problem is that the CVA activily hunt pirats, even they only shoot farmers. so its makes it even less cost effeciant than it is. I think in order to clean em out, u gotto do a nap deal for a certain time atleast. or u will find yourself running out of ships very fast^^.
I saw during the tri assult on CVA space, that after a little the haulerfarmers numbers did drop heavly as 100 tri was more or less constant ganking em when they undocked in misaba.

Edited by: Lobster Man on 22/02/2008 11:40:05 I can't help but wonder if the slowly rising implant prices are to do with us and perhaps a stealth banhammer by CCP too.
I would also like to note, if you can fit up a few smartbombs (carrier work well ) and camp one of the stations that kicks you out past re-dock range, you can get hundreds of kills in a single day (although these days of mass atrocity are hopefully over).

Actually I am not sure they did.
There has beena gigantic drop in macroers across space generally which has already been reported on Scrapheap.
In addition the number of macroers in CVA space has also taken a recent dive (post-Tri) for no apparent reason. I have spent quite a lot of time in the Mamet/Kheram area over the past few days and have seen no apparent macro traffic during that period (and these were some of the hot spots)...
So either CCP have finally got their arse in gear on this issue or there may be some other reason - I did see some speculation that it had something to do with techy/net issues out in the Middle East but as am not an expert can't comment on these.
Finally with regard to CVA 'low-sec' anyone shooting neutrals will be considered pirates and set KOS to the CVA regardless of whether they are macros or not.
We cannot get into lengthy debates about who is or is not a 'macroer' and simply shooting anyone in a hauler simply because they look 'macro' is not acceptable for us because it will (and has) lead to innocent neutrals (who are under our protection) being killed.

i doubt this will keep stak, vic, and company out; they're used to being KOS to lots of people. if there really aren't any macroers, however, that is another story.

I am not sure that the action taken by Stakhanov or any other players have made any difference on this issue.
uhhh, once they get negative standings to their agents from having to decline too many missions then I think it is clear that it has to do with them being killed by metafarmers and other anti-farmbot forces.
Originally by: Hardin so there is absolutely no reason for Stakhanov or anyone else to come here to shoot macroers anyway.

Donations are always welcome We have however also been killing some 600-700 farmers in Ingunn the last 2 months, however killing farmers is no way to avoid the "If we see you in local, we set your corp red" policy we have had since we started the corp.
We do however apreciate metafarmers job there. We have killed 2 carriers in Ingunn at the farmer station, and on fight was so freaking laggy that you got a frame or 2 per second due to hundreds of people in local.
While metafarmers have been steadily killing them, we have only been joykilling them when nothing else was around.
