I don't get to play often because I have a life but whenever I do decide to login theres always major lag or the server crashes or it's downtime etc etc. I'm really starting to get fedup of how unstable this server is and it's become sooo obvious to me that it clearly can't hanle the amount of players on there at the same time.... that are they just bought really crap servers from the ú shop. I'm not a fan of how crowded the game is anyways because I want to feel alone in space like the old days when there was like 2000-4000 people and I loved that alot more than now.
I'm just sick of how whenever I try to play the game it never lets me cause the server sucks sooo much. I mean is wanting to play 2 or 3 times a month sooo much to ask?

Yes it really is just you. Now go cry some more, or, alternatively - GB/2/WOW
...but yeah, Ambulation is apparently a critically important feature but I don't see how it can become something useful if you're either too lagged to move around or constantly losing connection, etc
seriously though, EVE = 1 server, always has always will, and none of your whining will change that (thankfully)

Yes lets Expand EVE to more then one server... Fantastic idea amazing how'd you come up with that one?
Another idea while were on the topic of great ones... Lets get rid of Real time skill Training! =D
Now doesnt that sound like fun, lets make EVE just like every other game i dont play.
If your having a tuff time in EVE i can break it down for you 2 way's
1) EVE "it takes time"
OR
2) "OE" aka "operator error"
Suffering from any of the above?
Well if your not then id suggest just moving away from high population area's

Yes it's really you, I log in almost everyday for hours on end, I have no idea what your talking about, are you sure your talking about Eve or WoW.
Seriously the only lag is in highly populated systems generally on a Sunday evening and it does suck, if it bothers you don't log in to Sundays.
But you know what your just ******* trolling so **** off.

I'd go for an RP server, that's about it. Merge the farmer server and the real one and let the RP crowd have the leftover hardware.

I am not sure where you are stationed in, but where I keep home theres no lag at all! Only 10-15 people are in that system in average, and everything is just sweet and dandy.
The problem is people think keeping base in Jita or other high spot areas are the best. Well. this is the price to pay to keep home at these overcrowded spots.

EVE doesn't need another server. It just needs at least two times as many systems as it currently has.

I truly admire CCP for implementing a single sharded MMORPG. I firmly believe, after years of playing eve, and working in the MMO industry, that the future of online video gaming is the single shard.
It unites the community in a way no other game has been able to do. At any moment each of us is taking part in the SAME gaming universe, and I can encounter any of you that post here in game.
Now having said that, I think adding another shard is a reasonable suggestion. Not only are there lag issues, as the OP rightly points out, but I also feel like eve is getting too big. I no longer feel like a pod pilot floating in mostly empty space.
I also think that sharding the game would reduce any future claims of employee abuse in EVE politics.

Its just you. One of the only reasons I have stuck with this game is because it is ONE server. If you don't like it go play WoW!

Eve gave a new meaning to the words massive multiplayer. I guess it the most interesting part of Eve Online: every single player is a little part of giant living community.
So YES, you are the only one asking for a single server. If lag bothers you, just stay away from Jita :)

Its true we all hate lag but another server is not the way to go as others have said only having one server is at the heart of what eve is about , I,m sure ccp will deliver the goods with better servers in the future after all they have around 220000 paying customers now according to the BBC, do the math its alot of cash per month to spend on tech .
Whats going wrong in the short term wrt lag is pilots not making the move to low and 0,0 sec this has been argued about in many posts in these forums people have lots of answers to this issue but lets hope ccp do something about it soon as in the long term I can see the game going into decline .
The pvp pliots are just as important as the carebears in fact they need each other hunter and prey but at the moment the prey are hiding in highsec and if the hunter has no prey they will leave the game in the long run and when they do eve will suffer as a game .
Not a pirate I just love the

yea i agree i think another server should be made so new players have a chance and so theres not a 4 year skill gap. and get rid of all these c**** large alliances and start again.

A second server is not required for what you want. Some new regions and some extra nodes on TQ would do it.
BTW some quite big areas of the map are pretty much deserted.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

A bigger EVE universe would be a better solution, but I doubt that the software scales well enough. So yes, a second server would be a good idea, despite all the whiners. A few 10.000 people would switch over immediately, making the situation on TQ much better.
Those who are whinging about how bad a sharded EVE would be now, would just adapt and not notice a difference after a while.
Then again, CCP have made it clear that there will be no sharded EVE, it's obviously that they need this for marketing purposes and marketing > all.
EVE Online: a cold, cruel world where (RL-)rich people replace their losses with GTCs sold to poor students who need to farm ISK to afford their play time ...

I can see an argument for having 2 servers. One with downtime at 11am and one with downtime at 11pm. But you would need to see the stats to know how many people you are **** off at 11am GMT to know if that is worth it. East Coast USA is 6 hours behind, so downtime hits them at 5am. I guess there aren't that many people online at that time in any case.
