How many times have you forgotten drones? It would be a really nice feature or option if when warping, your ship would automaticaly attempt to scoop. If they arn't in range.. oh well. But so often me and my friends have lost drones due to simply forgetting to scoop them.

Increase drone scoop range to atleast 2500 meters, and make warping auto scoop to drone bay every drone in range.
This is the first step in making drone AI worthwhile. --

Ah yes, always good fun. Normally they are still there when you go "oh bugger, left drones, better go back and pick em up!". ====================================

forgetting your drones is the pilot's fault, and i don't feel it needs to be compensated for. do it enough times, and you learn your lesson. believe me. i know.
what bugs me is loosing drones because my client crashes in the middle of defending against npcs. my ship warps away, and my drones go dead, and are quickly annihilated.
by the time i get logged back in and warp back to where i was, most, if not all, of my drones are so much space dust. this is most annoying when the drones happen to be million isk harvestors...

very, very annoying. es Midshipman Etoile Chercheur - Logistics Division (M&T) | Hadean Drive Yards

Like all other players i really hate leaving drones behind accidently or if fleeing from a loosing battle... but lets face it, to loose them shows a lack of skill and finesse (no insult intended).
Loosing your drones is merely a byproduct of you not caring for them... it is your own fault, not CCP's. Through your own practice you should be able to solve the loss and learn to live with life.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

I really hope you didn't pay 1 million ISK for a single harvester, because if you did; you got ripped big time. Anyway, I think they're could be an emergency recovery system. When your ship signals to warp, it triggers a magnetic pulse attuned to your drones that plasters them to the side of your ship. Now of course, this would most likely damage them slightly, but at least they wouldn't be left behind. And of course, have to repair them enough times, and you'll learn to check the area for your drones first. And even so, if you CTD; at least they'll still be there when you get back. After you leave warp, it might be a good idea if the drons auto-dock with your drone bay though.

i lose loads of mining drones every time my computer freezes, having an autoscoop feature would be really useful.

before autoscoop, i'd like the active drones window to work properly if you accidentally close it.
As of now, if you close it with drones active, then lauch more, the window will only show the last drones you launched.

Who's selling them cheaper? I'll take a dozen.
BTW, if you do leave your drones behind, there's a fair chance they'll still be there the next DAY, let alone in two minutes. Three of mine survived despite being parked smack next to a pair of NPC pirates for six hours.
