Ok i need some help on doing my first cyno jump in a new chimera.
1. How long does it take to jump?
2. Will my chimera be vunerable during the jump "i.e. unable to fight"

1. Almost instant, a matter of seconds from you give the command to arrival.
2. You would be jumping hence - no. Much like you're not vulnerable while warping. Start and end - possibly depending on where you start, land and how you behave, but never in jump/warp.

when you cyno to a station there is a sort period where you cannot dock i cannot remember if this is 20 seconds or 30 seconds.
when setting the cyno make sure you are not going to end up bouncing off something when you jump. i have ended up 30km off a station due to a badly placed cyno on my alt.
when you jump you will be left with 30-40% cap so if you are just jumping to a spot you will not be able to instantly jump to another cyno.
when you undock from a station you have to wait for 20 seconds before you can jump to a cyno.

before undocking your carrier check to see if the station undocks you outside of docking range if it does i would advise you to get a corp mate or scout to watch station when you undock incase you are a bit slow jumping and some bad people decide to scram you and you will be outside of dock range and could end up dead.
i alwasy dock my carriers in station that do not undock you out of range to dock back up so i stay well away from minny stations.
