Edited by: Babel on 22/02/2008 11:43:51 A few questions :
- What determines the 'range' for your sneaky gangmates to be able to jump to your Covert JP? - What fuel, if any is needed? - Do sneaky gangmates all have to be in one place or can use the portal from separate locations? - Hmmm .... Am I completely barking up the wrong tree and in fact need 2 Black Ops pilots to do this? :D - Have I a clue about how these damn things work at all?
All helpful replies appreciated, well ... for the first 4 questions at least, the last is somewhat rhetorical :)

It's 4 Light Years because CCP says so.
Your racial isotope, check the atrib of the ship.
Gang mates need to be in the same place as the Black Ops ship. The black op ship opens the portal (clicks on the fitted mod), your gang mates get close to the ship, right click it and jump to the covert cyno gen guy.
You don't need two black ops ships. The black ops ship is in the starting system and the covert cyno is in the target system.

i read that the cyno beacon can be just a standard one too, does not have to be covert variant - though of course it would be much better

What is the purpose of having a covert cynosural field gen on the black ops ship?

If you have another ship fitted with jump drive (including most capital ships), then they can jump to the black ops. In other words, it works just like it normally does. Correction: doesn't the covert cyno field gen means that other black ops (not regular ships right?) can jump to you?
I have a question about fuel consumption. Is fuel consumed for each ship that jumps? In other words, if I open a jump portal with my black ops and my gang starts jumping through, does my fuel go down with each ship?
