Apparently you do "get" Smashkill.
People can say what they like about SK and their faults, but at least they x up and bring a fleet. Participation ratio is not one of their problems. It might take a while, it might have the wrong ships, it may even go to the wrong place first, but there WILL be one.
I never really understood why people hate on smashkill so much. They're a medium-large alliance in mediocre space who like to drink a lot, x up and go shoot at people, and don't care all that very much if they win or lose. And they have a lot of fun. (And also Dastommy)
TBH, I think it's that last part that really gets some people spitting venom. EvE shouldn't be fun - EvE should be serious business.
It was a training op. Scouts honour.
Also, dastommy fanboi spotted

Tri have fun today? I noticed the war dec didnt workout in your favor so much.... TRI wreck here, one over there and a few down the block. Every engagement I witnessed today ended with TRI docked or running. What happened to those Uber PVP skills... --

day before yesterday was TRI's. Yesterday it was SK who came out on top. Can't always lose/win.
SK is slowly adapting. It was TRI calling the shots, sitting in Air 'till they spotted an opportunity. We slowly get to know their tactics and ways and figure out how to counter them. Slowly because we ARE an alliancee of drunks and stoners.
Anyways, good fights and more to be had. 07 to TRI for the wardec.

We haven't stopped laughing at the other alliance...pandas something /shrug ... who after deccing RK for some nefarious reason, is losing haulers in high sec, stocked with such goodies as Hulks (one survived), and Crystal implants (which all survived). Nice loot if you can get it

Not much to be said really, the TRI that normally go shooting SK are dedicated PvPers in specialist ships setting out knowing exactly what they'll face and stumbling into anyone that isn't paying attention. The TRI that are being ganked in empire are regular TRI just out to do their weekly shopping. (ie, the same targets are being generated for SK to shoot as are usually generated for TRI to shoot).
SK usually has wars, and already had one before TRI decced them, TRI didn't appear to have one at the time, so were/are probably unprepared. Expect both sides to stop losing stuff in empire as much, and TRI probably to drop the wardec, mostly because it's hampering their ability to conduct high-sec suicide ganks (for which the losses don't usually show up on their killboards, only their kills :p ).

Edited by: Admiral Nova on 26/02/2008 17:23:05 I noticed Jita 4-4 Gliding from Outbreak is knocking Tri wartargets off the station for them in a nano-mach. I wonder what that would take to suicide gank.

lolol
I went up to Jita cos a corpie was ****ing about there and I needed to pick something up in my claymore. I warped onto 4-4 and see this nano mach bumping randomers at the undock, so I thought I'd give him a gang invite for skirmish bonuses to see how fast he'd go. He was there for about half an hour bumping random **** and the only time he had a chance to bump a TRI wartarget for us was right before I left, when one of the other guys camping the undock webbed the target so he didn't get bumped properly
Don't read anymore into it than that

All smack whatever aside.... We appreciate the opportunity that fighting an alliance such as Triumvirate brings in terms of PVP training. Time will tell if they do decide that Geminate is a better home than Deklein.

We don't fight tri because we want their space, just as they don't fight us for ours. We just like blowing **** up. While we may one day clash for each others space, I find it hard to believe it will ever be 'territory' related. ________________________________ Stop nerfing everything! |

so far its been a VERY fun fight, :D
Tri despite all the smack that gets put to them are a excellent allaince who really bring the PvP. (admittedly they always try to do it on there own terms, but who the hell don't anyhow).
so far, its be a case of nano gang chasing, remote rep BS gangs as backup, its really really been fun.
i have nothing but respect for Tri, win loose or draw, smashkill will always bring it.
;)

the fights have been fun - the smack that has been happening has been unfortunate but theres only so much both sides can do to put a lid on it.
Lag was a little insane yesterday especially at the POS, but the safety dance managed to get us in and out without too many losses.
Morale is high, game on.

Edited by: gamarus on 27/02/2008 16:24:41 I think it was 18-20 bs's and a similar number of support.
Edit: killmail shows exactly 20 bs's on the Thanatos.
