Looking at the Red blobs on the map (ships killed in last 24 hours) The largest blob isn't in Delve like expected but in Cloud Ring. XZH-4X to be exact. 359 kills in last 24 hours.
Anybody have any stories, info on this.

Man, I can't wait till Goons can post again. At least this alt-post* drivel will be swamped by a sea of noise.

From my pov it was something like this. I logg on and local is 135. I hand out a couple of ships to ecpr members, jump in a combat ship and warp to the gate. Full fight going on. Bruce fleet vs The Reckoning and BCA. We were quite outnumbered most of the time, but had the advantage of carriers.
I jam a few targets, warp out and back in, jam, then pwned. Meanwhile we hear that more and more Bruce piling up 2 jumps away (the accuracy of numbers is a bit hazy, but i remember 50 was said). Suddenly local is 178 (peak). Warp quickly back to station, jump in a new ship. Warp by mistake straight to the gate, jam a couple of ships and pwned again. Jump in a new ship, this time a tanker and start picking support ships. From there on we slowly got control of the situation. Bruce had longer supply lines, naturally, which gave us an advantage. But we were heavily outnumbered the whole fight.
When i joined the fight had already raged for a hour and a half. Lag was managable for me, but grid was borked, along with some ppl experiencing desync. No smack or whine intended. Kills/losses doesnt really matter. It was fun, that is what counts.
Good fight Bruce.
Btw: Bruce came back about an hour later with a gang of 120, while we were about 40-50 'ish rdy for a fight. However, this time we were rdy and armed to the teeth :) They decided not to engage and left the area.

From an outsiders perspective of the entire thing; Over Teamspeak we had reports of many large gangs moving towards XZH ( Pure & BRUCE ) Battleship heavy gangs, Invasion force is the first thing that comes to mind.
With us Un-Natural Selection members being close, mainly in HAC's/Nano gang, we decide it wouldn't be wise to jump into the main fight, so we decided to sit a couple jumps out and use guerilla warfare.
After picking off a few stragglers from BRUCE and Pure, larger fleets moved us on. We went home.
PS; Can i just add, the lag near that XZH constellation was hurrendous for lag, ships constantly lag warping, and module lag was terrible. No more then 50 people were in the same systems outside of XZH and all suffered from massive lag.

I think bruce killed one of our(recon, cant recall which corp) carriers. Lag was horrible, but manageble. At one point bruce tried to take down a ms but failed, after that they redrew whatever bships they had left.
I cought the last 30 minutes of the fight.. and they still had like 60 people at the gate. And after they left, the system was still laggy because of all the wrecks.. i forgot to take a screenshot, but someone must have something. ----------------------------------

Indeed.
It was definitely the most surreal fight I ever fought. About 1h40 minutes of carnage.
It was also my first real carrier fight - and for that matter also the first time I was rather close to losing it
Next time I will use fighters as well *G*

This is my perspective:
Zero hour: We get notification of enemy force approaching, the numbers were still manageable from our perspective as the reports say 50-60 man gang. We have about 30 men at the gate and gate fires. System fills up with about 80-100 peeps... All I see for next 5mins is two or three of their ships (node/grids goes to hell) total and all of the sudden I get heavy damage from Phantom Ships... I don't see who is shooting me. Pop. Done.
I sit for next 10 mins unable to do anything. I log off. I re-log. Again, again, again. After maybe 20mins I managed to actually log in and some merciful enemy pops my pod. At least I am at station eventually.
30mins in: I board 2nd ship, warp in. This time lag was ok. I get picked off after short chase aroudn the gate and killed.
I board 3rd ship, story repeats. This time I just warped to wrong spot :(.
45mins in: I go to the station and try to configure another ship which I haven't had ready to go. Node is shot to hell, I am unable to put a module into the ship and activate it. All modules are in off-line mode. I noticed no grid/CPU/fit skills are taken into consideration...hence prolly why all the crap was off line since server thinks I have no skill for that. For the next 20mins, LITERALLY, I am fighting the system, re-logging, refitting etc. I gave up and reached into capital bay and pick a fully configured dread... guess what. Due to the fit bug two of guns go off line sice system thinks there is not enough grid for them (no PG skills taken into consideration again)... Another 10-15mins wasted on my part but eventually I managed to fit out the ship once the lag lessened. I decided to go totally suicidal since I was ****ed at everything at this point.
1h+ in: I warp in at 130km from our main group, on the vector that covers our guys and the gate. I engage siege mode and stay in until the end of fight... 4 cycles.
In the end the fight was fun but the lag and bugs ruined the most of experience for me.

Mad props to all involved. Seems like the lag is 'random' . Lost my first 2 ships before I could even fire a shot. My third ship seem to warp in at the right 'time' and I was actually able to fight. Eve needs more hamsters if this stuff keeps up :)

That link really isn't really an accurate representation as the fight lasted over 2 hours and the killboard only shows 1 hour at a time. Campaign created just for the engagement.
http://kb.eve-recon.com/?a=cc_detail&ctr_id=7
I was there for half the fight. Long and short of it is BRUCE/Pure came looking for a fight. We gave them a fight despite being seriously outnumbered. They lost 215 ships we lost 97 (not counting pods).
We had a max number of pilots online of around 50, Bruce/Pure had more than 150 pilots in XZH.
We fought them outnumbered 3 to 1. Sometimes even 6 to 1 or more depending on time of fight.
We never once left field of battle, our members were on the field of battle through the entire fight. No warping fleet in and out jockeying for that pristine position and/or snipe spot. A straight up fist fight to the death -- face to face.
Battlefield waged on over 200+ kms of space. Wrecks strewn all throughout the grid.
RECON were last alliance standing and got the loot.
We all had TONS of fun (I am assuming BRUCE/Pure had fun too).
Lag was manageable, some grid loading problems but once the battlefield loaded it was fine. Now i wish there was a setting to remove wreck icons in space. Hundreds of wrecks is bad for load up lag.
Once again thanks for the weekend fun Bruce, hope to see you again, Respect for bringing it.
Stealing sig, but i imagine everybody is its so great

You cant really brag about fighting outnumbered when your killboard shows you used a ton of caps and super caps and they had none. Not to mention you said BCA and company fought with you and their losses obviously arent on your killboard.

Wow a guy who has been playing for a day thinks RECON is bragging... ?
In other words... Hi BRUCE alt!
Initial engagement was 31 RECON (including 4 carriers, one of which was lost) vs. 120 BRUCE and Pure. The caps mostly showed up at end of the fight, after two hours of battling. It was a good fight. Nobody is bragging, just reporting a good fight. I guess we'll see you in your ibis next time?

Was browsing through that campaign overview your alliance buddy posted there and there's only a few BS kills without 5+ caps on the top. So erm, either there were more caps than you saw or BRUCE stuck around too long (lots more BS kills near the end though, which supports what you said).
Btw, how the heck did a deadspace fitted carrier die with cross repping caps on the field? Uber ewar?

Well I assure you that what I said was true (or very, very close).. Afterall there were hunderds of people there who could refute what I am saying So, interpret the kb and the timing of kills any way you like.
The carrier aligned... and stayed aligned... and stayed aligned... until he was 100km off everyone else after a very long time in the battle. Thats how he died. As for the deadspace fitting on a carrier - well, I would never do it but some people just have too much isk, I guess.
Like someone else from RECON said, the props really have to go to BRUCE and the small Pure contingent who kept the fight going for hours. We enjoy lots of fun PVP with BRUCE and Pure, and everyone else around really. If it weren't for the PVP, Cloud Ring would suck even worse. Yeah - just try and imagine that.
