C'mon, red bricks were overpowered; the devs were right in nerfing them. Stop whining.

And yet again the LegoDEVs show a total lack of understanding of the core issues affecting gameplay and leave the 3x1 tiles with no clear purpose. Moar luv for 3x1's!!!!1!! And no, you can't have my bricks.

Come on CCP Whisper, 3x1 were overpowered...
look the devblog :
Originally by: LEGO Brickpark Hi, Iæm Brickpark and recently transferred from the Quality Assurance department to the Game Design team. IÆve been with Lego for just under two years now and donÆt plan on going anywhere. Say hello to your newest balancer (I still haven't received a nerfbat though).
Iæm posting here now because the last few days weæve been looking at the way 3x1 bricks and 3x1 superbrick are functioning on Tranquilibrick, and to be honest weære a little concerned with the direction itæs taking.
What we want is pretty basic: We want to make 3x1 bricks more reliant on their support brick and less of a direct nber brickbringer.
How are we going to do it?
Well, we have an idea, and before you go ballistic remember that this is an idea and weære still working on it:
We plan on changing the way 3x1 bricks work, and have it so that you can still launch all the 1x1 bricks you want (within limits of your brick/skills) but you can only directly control 5 of them at a time. That means that a 3x1 brick can launch 5 1x1 brick, assign them to a gang mate, launch 5 more, assign them to another gang mate etc. etc.
This means you will NOT be able to launch 20 1x1 brick from a 3x1 motherbrick and send them all to incinerate a 2x1 brick in .2 seconds. It does however mean that you can assign 5 1x1 brick to each of your lilæ friends in the fleet and send them forth to be the messengers of your burning fury.
Remember, weære not messing with the final total amount of 1x1 brick you can launch and delegate, just the amount you can control and delegate at a time. You can of course also launch 5 1x1 brick and make them attack a target of your own choice, if it pleases you.
But wait! Thereæs more!
Not only do we want to limit the amount of 1x1 brick you can launch, but also the amount of 1x1 plate! Yes, we want to limit 3x1 brick and 3x1 motherbrick just like other bricks, i.e. they should only be able to field 5 regular 1x1 plate at any given time.
Thatæs it! No Tango for you at Fanfest!
Awww man you can't let me run dry. But seriously, the reason we want to implement something like this is that we feel that 3x1 bricks are being used way too much as better-than-2x1-bricks-at-killing-stuff bricks, when we in fact think that they should be used more as the-bricks-that-keep-other-bricks-alive-and-provide-them-with-additional-firepower bricks. Did that make sense? Probably not, but anyway, we hope you get the gist the direction we want to move them in and the way we see that happening.
Remember that this is still just an idea and we want your feedback on this, so please, post constructively and you just might make a difference in the (Lego) universe.
Go on Test-Brick server. I think from this may come a better balance in the Legoverse. --------- Red Panda ---------

If there were ever any doubt in my mind before that the devs didn't read the forums, it is now dispelled __________________________________

Easy for you to say. I have invested months of time and effort in getting my use of 3x1 tiles to the point where it matches how I want to play the game, only to discover that they now seem to be the orphaned tile in the big picture! Even the 2x1 tiles got a boost with the introduction of new colours! So what am I meant to do? Increase the amount of strain on an already overloaded parts bucket to switch to three 2x1's instead of my 3x1? That can't be right!

at least 3x1 has a niche roll. the 3x2 has no specific role and can easily be matched by two 3x1s for considerably less.
also, when will i be able to invent Lego Robotics ffs?! Signature removed. Too large and flashing signatures are not really permitted. Navigator |

How about you make a constructive contribution to the debate instead of being a pathetic troll. I've been building since the 1979 Space Buggy (#886) so I think I know how to build. Whereas I can't remember seeing you make any contributions to the Builders & Models forum recently.
