Hi!
Is this possible? Running two clients within separate spaces in fullscreen and switch between them with mac os spaces shortcuts (ctrl-arrow)?
Thanks, Secus

Thanks for that information!
So my best chance is to run this two clients with a custom resoution at almost fullscreen....
I'm new to Mac. Do I have also (like in Windows) performance disadvantages in Mac OS when using windowed mode instead of fullscreen?
Thanks again, Secus

Actually in OSX it's often the other way around, works fine in windowed mode and some games even work better.. You should also know that the mac client of eve is completely crap.. :p

On my iMac my frame rate gets cut in half in windowed mode and running two clients in windowed mode gets kind of slideshowy.. I think I'll have to abandon the Mac client and just use bootcamp.

In WoW, they have a feature for multiple "fullscreen" clients in spaces, called maximized window view. It creates a window exactly the right size so that the borders of the window are just offscreen and it looks like fullscreen to you.
EVE would do well to steal that. -------------------------------------------------- <3 my Drones |

IMHO, WoW use "native" client on OSX. EVE using "hack" to run eve in "pseudo MS windows" environment.
if you mean by "to steal" to rewrite client using openGL and make it less depended from M$ windows, i support this!

OK... Now for the stupid question. How do I run Eve in a window? The Eve client only shows me the option for fullscreen.

Hit Command+Enter to switch between fullscreen/windowed. Check out this link if you want to start eve in windowed mode.

Unfortunately, neither of these options work for me. There is no "FullScreen" parameter listed in the file at all. Also, the Command+Enter doesn't take me from "fullscreen" to "windowed" mode. Thanks for the ideas though. Maybe I have to do something else first.

I think you misread my post. I meant to say that EVE should off the option to run the program in a window of size equal too the current screen resolution PLUS some border width on all platforms. Then it would be a simple matter of using that option to center the window such that you can't see the border width.
Voila, no need for CCP to make a real mac client. ------------------------------------------------- Mac Graphics Performance Guide <3 my Drones |
