Edited by: Kirjava on 25/02/2008 16:44:20 Just wondering what it is we all use to fuel our brains during the day. When I was in France a while back I had frenchies looking at me with wtf written all over their faces as I added milk to my tea.
So mine is is Earl Grey tea, lightly brewed for 3 miniutes before adding a shot of milk, normaly get through 5 cups a day.
Whats everyone elses?

If I've just got up, I drink Coffee (That NescafT 'Rich Aroma' purple-coloured one) or Cappuchino if I can be bothered to make it
At night though I generally have a splitting headache (esp if I've gone to work) for which Coffee only worses so I usually go with Tea then (Leaf tea, no milk)

I often have a redbull just to be able to get out of bed (which usually happens around 2 PM). After taking a shower I like to drink a cup of Maxim - a Korean brand of instant coffee with milk and sugar - while browsing the news and munching on something. Even though I love it, I only drink a single cup of these as my supply is limited and relies on someone sending me a package once in a while all the way from Los Angeles.
During the rest of the day I drink a combination of plain black coffee from a pot and diet coke, alternating between the two, even from sip to sip. I love how they feel and taste together.
At night I switch to tea, either caffeinated (such as Chai, Green or something else that catches my fancy) or herbal (such as Rooibos or Camomille) if I feel I've had enough caffeine for the day.

At work, I tend to drink coffee or Pepsi Max. We have a coffee machine made of awesome that dispenses this hot chocolate/coffee mix which is the perfect combo of caffeine and sugar to wake me up in the mornings. At home, I drink tea out of a mug the size of a bucket. Rooibos or Earl Grey, both of which I adulterate with milk and sugar. I have a percolator and a stove-top espresso/cappuccino maker as well, but these tend to only get used when there's company.

I gave up soda entirely a few years ago, so now I usually rely on my coffee and/or tea to get me through the day. Favorite would probably be just a nice strong cup of regular coffee with a touch of sweetener.
As for giving up that carbonated crap, trust me, it's worth it (this is coming from a guy who used to chug soda like there was no tomorrow). You just feel better overall.

you never drinked guarana have you?
let's just say that a cup of guarana + coffe = pretty much 2-3 cans of red bull
not because guarana is a stimulant. it's not. it's an energy regulator.
add that to caffeine and you get pretty much the double of the effect for the same ammout of coffee. ---

Well, it's the richest, tastiest sugar. It's very dark, and in the right proportions it complements the cocoa. Don't add more than half a heaped teaspoon of it per cup. Also, if you use it, it's essential to mix the cocoa & sugar(s) into a tar-like paste before adding the hot milk. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |
