Ever wanted to respond to a post, but didn't think the post was worthy of bumping?
Yes, that's right, the EVE forums need a sage feature. A checkbox that says "don't bump this thread."

Altough I dont know what "sage" means, but it sounds like a healthy suggestion. Now thats one for the "sender side".
For the "reader side"
- I'd love to have a custom filter so I could filter away any redundant threads containing certain words like "what's happening in*", "nano*", "*fofofofo*", or "discuss".
With a selection to filter away threads (or optionally posts) with said content.
- as well as "Do not display threads created on or before dd-mm-yyyy".
I'd also like to have a fake reply button, so whenever I reply anywhere it goes to devnull, buts thats just a personal need.

What would be the point of not bumping the thread? Then no one knows a response has been made and might want to look at it to see what has been added. Seems more like slipping something in for the record without anyone knowing. Can't imagine CAOD with this.

I don't know about a sage feature but a 'stop Dark Shikari from posting a worthless thread' option should definatelly be around.

Seriously though, the concept has some merit, due to the fact that eve threads have no discernible maximum replies, therefore meaning that needless saging to get a thread closed down as a means of trolls would not be as effective.
It's a double edged sword, on one hand: Tis true that mods would get less work due to the fact that worthless threads would not constantly be bumped to the top and would swiftly become forgotten, but it could also result in mass "Sage this ****" posts, which would result in MORE crap for the moderators to try and go through.

i think it's a silly idea, especially since threads expire and eventually die of their own accord.
