Plz lower the prices on the following skillbooks.
Nanite Control Neurotoxin Recovery
Or raise their drop rate!!
I'm a pusher, but how can I make business when all my customers are affraid of the sideeffects and the skillbooks to minimize their chance are so expensive.
So plz do something, give us hard working pushers a chance.
Sincerely yours.
A pusher, from Fountain.
p.s.: For you who are interested, I still have some "sweets" for you. Buy 2 pooster and get one biology skillbook for free.

Anyways, back on topic, boosters are never going to be that popular, disregarding the expensive skills/excessive training, I for myself will never waste SP training for something that I'll rarely ever use/find anywhere, AND has a chance of a side-effect, I don't see them as viable merchandise

i, on the other hand, see the massive situational advantages to be gained from boosters.
sadly i can't afford them :( Signature removed. Too large and flashing signatures are not really permitted. Navigator |

I'd probably use them for emergencies but both the boosters are expensive, the skills are expensive as well, and, well, the boosters aren't very easy to obtain anyway.
Which is, basically, a lot of ISK and hassle for something that *might* save me during a fight, but might as well completely screw me up.

So making it easier geting the skillbooks would help a lot. And I'd prefer taking drugs then loosing high grade implants.

Edited by: Melor Rend on 27/02/2008 13:21:37 man... dude... you can keep your crappy biology crap book... just gimme my fix!!!!! *shakes uncontrollably*
But on a more serious note: I'll be contacting you in the next few days... my old pusher has left me hanging with nothing but a bad habit and my epeen always feels so small when I undock without being high.
btw. the skill prices are a bit high but that didn't stop me from buying them.. I mean if you're gonna be spending anything from like 5-25mil on a 60min boost then the 100mil for a skillbook shouldn't be an issue.

perhaps if you sent me some free samples of the good x-instinct, i'd be inclined to buy more once hooked? Signature removed. Too large and flashing signatures are not really permitted. Navigator |

question about boosters- do they plug in like implants? And after you plug them in are they still considered contraband?(concord ships scan them, take them, and then fine you?)

To Hek with the pushers, what about us pullers?
I mean, I have to get within 20km of a wreck so I can pull the wreck closer, and then I have to make far too many clicks with my mouse to pull the loot out of the wrecks. Sometimes, there's so much loot, I have to drop a can and pull it behind my ship while I keep cleaning up the spaceways.
A larger sized tractor beam would be a blessing.
So plz do something, give us hard working "can pullers" a chance. |

No, you consume them and the effect is applied for the duration of the booster. There are a variety of 'flavours' boosting attributes like rigs / implants do and a variety of strengths. A short guide is:
Blue Pill - % shield boost Crash - % explosion radius bonus for missiles Drop - tracking speed bonus Exile - Armor repair bonus Frentix - % optimal range bonus Mindflood - % cap bonus Sooth Sayer - % falloff bonus X-Instinct - % velocity bonus
There are a variety of strengths (blue pill as an example) -
Improved 30% shield boost bonus, 30mins 40% chance of a 25% side effect Strong 30% shield boost bonus, 30mins 40% chance of a 30% side effect Standard 20% shield boost bonus, 30mins 40% chance of a 20% side effect Synth 3% shield bonus, 30mins, no side effects
Each booster (less synth) has a % chance of having one to four negative side effects. Each booster occupies 1 of 2 'booster' slots, depending on type.
The skill 'Biology' adds a 20% duration to the booster per level. The skill 'Neurotoxin Recovery' reduces the chance of a side effect by 5% per level The skill 'Nanite Control' reduces the potency of any side effect by 5% per level.
If carried in the cargo hold all boosters except 'synth' are contraband. Once consumed however they have no contraband effect.
If youre after that vital edge over your opponent then the combination of boosters, implants and over heating will definitely do it for you - skill intensive sure; but then what in EVE isnt?
As for getting them, wel you need to know who to ask

wait so synth has no side effects and can be carried in high sec?
I thought boosters couldnt be used in high sec at all, if they can I might be in the market
