Edited by: Swren2 on 27/02/2008 14:10:05 Hey,
After stumbeling on a Mercury moon the other day, i have heard that it is a useful material to acquire. Is this true? if so.. How so?, After checking the Jita marketplace i have seen that the buy orders and sell orders are based about 1000isk per unit.
After calculating the costs of fuel maintainace for a control tower, silo and hanger, i am finding that the profit is only 17mil (ish) per calander month. 17.5mil sucks alot, so i was considering about t2 production. Is mercury useful in this department? How useful? and just how profitable is it to mine?
Also, if it is a big part of t2 production, or the basis of t2 production, could someone please give me some deatils on how affective this mateiral is to mine?
Thanks in advance for any help.

do you honestly expect an honest answer?
although it is 17mil a month for just fueling a pos and hauling stuff back to empire to sell.

my guide linked below should give you some idea, but it seems you have worked out most yoyur self. If you want to make a basic reaction look at what goes with Mercury and add a medium pos fuel costs plus the other raw material (per months worth). This if worth doing will be it will give you more isk then just mining Mercury. ALso remember that you get 200 units per hour when you work out many units you have to sell per month
your 2 options for Mercury are
Neo Mercurite about ú3,300 per unit so:
3300 * 200 * 24 * 30 = 475,200,000 (profit befor costs)
Neodymium about ú2,840 per unit so thats
2840 * 100 * 24 * 30 = 204,480,000 medium pos = 120,000,000
total costs = 324,480,000
net profit = 150,720,000 per month
so you can see that make a reaction could be quite a bit more profitable then mining a raw. double check all my numbers and redo the math your self maybe counting hauling time as well ect.
Dysporite about about ú29,000 per unit (this might be hard to get)

damn forum ate my respone, but it was the same as above. making Neo-Merc would yield a decent profit, the only problem is simply maintaining the POS.

oh and remeber if your buying in raw materials, make sure you use the cost of all the material you buy (if you buy more then batch that is). As a months worth can be more then the lowest batch on the market. Salvaging guide:moon materials guide |
