My Eve Client is totally locking up, but the weird thing is, I can still move my mouse around. alt apple and esc wont let me shut down Eve. This happens at least 5 times a day and I have to manually shut down my computer and reboot. Anyway of doing this more safely?
Also anyone else having this problem?
I do have SMCfanControl on and it seems once my machine gets over 100 degrees it seems it wants to lock up on me.

This has only happened to me one time, and it was yesterday, not sure what caused it, but required a full reboot. I was in station, fitting my ship, and the whole thing locked right up.
I'd also like to know why, but mostly, when the client will be better than it is now.

I had it yesterday too, I think it was due to the memory leak or something - my RAM was pretty much full.
I was running a mission and thought for sure I'd lost my drones, but they were still there and had somehow taken out the last couple rats while I was restarting. -------------------------------------------------- <3 my Drones |

I just want to say in defence of CCP, that my iMac actually locked up when using Adobe Illustrator, in almost the same exact manner. I had itunes on, but it kept playing the song even though nothing on my screen could move. It might be my hardware.

This sounds like what has happened to me - everything freezes and I cant even quit or opt/command/esc out. I have lost a few ships with these freezes and this has caused me much angst. Never has a app caused such havoc on my computer. This has never happened when running any other app or combination of app's

Edited by: OwlManAtt on 02/03/2008 21:17:54 I had that happen a lot when my old MBP overheated. Putting it to sleep and waking it back up would fix it for a bit. You may want to install smcfancontrol and set your fan RPMs waaaay up. --- SVP OwlManAtt, Yasashii Syndicate |
