Because apparently you cant speak your mind or it gets locked, you cant express personal opinions or it gets locked, and you cant talk about important world issues or it gets locked, cant talk about politics because guess whatàthat gets locked to so why even have an of topic form if it is so closely moteradated? Now let me guess this will be locked to right? There are plenty of non-Eve related things you can discuss, you can't discuss things that will almost certainly lead to flame-fests and abusive posts. They really only lock the thread were people become obscenely obtuse and irritable. They kinda look the other way if it is a civilized disscussion. I have nothing against religious people, liberals or Ron Paul supporters but all that spammage and blind flamage gets real old. The mmorpg.com offtopic forum is a prime example. The EVE-O off-topic forum, on the other hand, is relatively civilised, that is because the mods make it quite hard to spam/flame.
