Judging from my experience of making gameplay videos of EvE cutting the footage will take no time at all. however rendering and uploadding it will be slow as F*** so when they say it will be tomorrow that's probably because it is mathematically impossible to finish it by the end of today.

Considering that the replays of studio discussion and fights from the last tournament went up extremely quickly and appeared to simply be straight recordings of what was streamed out on the live stream, I'm disappointed to find that the first day's videos aren't up already.
What's going on? People aren't going to wait around for whoever's in charge of this to sort their act out. These tournaments are great showcases for the game, and if no one can see it in reasonable time then, in the words of my esteemed Aussie corpmate, "what's the bloody point?"
Today we had a live stream that would charitably be described as unstable. Then to cap it all we can't even watch the fights later on in the day like we could with the last tournament.
Needs fixing and fixing fast.

Videos on the last tournament were usually up around DT the following day and I'd expect it to be around the same time this year, you do realise Loxy and Xyliana were probably working for about 5 hours after the tourny had finished (iirc from the stream) to get things ready to upload, no one needs to get their act together at all, being able to see the replays of all the matches within 24 hours is a really good job on there part given whats involved imo.
What problems were you having with the stream? i was watching for about 4 hours and didnt have any problems apart from a few sound issues at the beginning.

I don't remember it like that, to be honest. As far as I recall, I was getting in from university between 4 and 7 pm, getting my tea, and watching the days matches that evening.
As I said, considering the replays (which are now up) appear to be simply divided up recordings of the live stream, as they seemed to be last time too, I didn't expect "what's involved" to be much at all.
The problems I was having were the same problems my corpmates were reporting and the same problems I was seeing being reported in #evetv, bad sound and a picture that looked stretched and kept pausing and stuttering.

that is exactly how it is this time, except only loxy is doing it .
if it could be done quicker, it would . have some patience please ? (especially since none of you are paying for this)

Just a little shameless plug here, but the full video of day's 2 and 3 (uncut) can be downloaded already via torrent here. Theres about 45 minutes to an hour for day 3's to finish the initial seeding (at which point due to people being very generous with upload bandwidth you should be able to grab it fairly quickly.
The matches for day 1 and 2 are also already available at http://eve-online.com/evetv and Day 3's matches should be up sometime around Downtime.
