14. Decide between realistic and cartoon-style physics before doing anything else, and fit everything else around that.
I cannot stand it when you get something with realistic physics that suddenly decides to go crap all over itself and randomly swaps to cartoon-style physics. I love Roadrunner as much as the next guy, but you have to stick to one style, IMO.

I'd say you have issues, but this is truly a part of the rules of japanese animation therefore I must concur.

16. Neon Genesis Evangelion ended an episode with a single shot of Shinji holding the final Angel in his Eva's hand for ten minutes while classical music played in the background. This was because GAINAX was flat broke. Do not emulate their example, thinking you're being artsy.
