I know this will require alot of work from ccp but this would be the Ultimate fix for some lag issues on TQ.
Move all trial accounts to a seperate server like test server is seperate so why cant trial accounts be seperate aswell.
Benefits :-
The Trial server wouldnt have to have all the skills as they are not trainable on trial. Less lag in polulated market hub systems on TQ Isk Spammers wouldnt be a problem on TQ any more Less petitions sent to GM`s about isk sellers
Of course if a player wanted to start paying for eve once the payment has been paid all player data would be transfered over to TQ so they could continue to play.
Pls sign if you agree

Im sure im not the only one who made friends on their trial and got helped out by older players who no longer were on one, also i personally started my second account with a trial then left it unactivated for a few months (it did train frig 5 in the mean time)
Dont get me wrong i hate isk sellers and their spam but removing trials like this is not the way to go i would rather see a limited access to trials than trials on a diffrent server (plus imagine the pain in getting trial chars skills over to TQ if they activated) sorry but it just would not work.

I for one would have never subscribed to EVE if it wasn't for the helpful veterans I met and made friends with during my trial period.

Not signed, mainly for the reasons put down here. Making it so that trial accounts cannot speak in public channels is much much simpler.
PS: This doesn't attempt to fix the problem of ISK sellers. This idea is aimed at ISK SPAMMERS. There is a difference. --------------------------------------
EVE is a cold, harsh world, filled with people that would kill you without a second thought. The forums are even worse. |

So people are happy that isk sellers eve-mail you instead ??? yesterday i reported 2 isk sellers and that was all i was allowed to petition By moving the trial accounts to a seperate server new players will still be able to play eve the way we see it on TQ. Also pls tell me of any other game that allows trial accounts to access the whole of the game, demos in other games tend to be limited to a section of the game so new players can get a feel for the game before they commit to subscribing to a full account, why should eve be any different ?

You disable only some functions on alt account : - Not allowed to speak in local/corp - Not allowed to rejoin trade channel (Need to filter the help channels) - Not allowed to send evemail
EDIT : - Not allowed to ask for rejoin more than one corporation

I've got a better idea. Make it so that CONCORD doesn't spawn when someone blows up a Hulk in Empire.

No. If it is a separate server, then new players would never get to see the big ships that other people have. Less incentive.

Ha very funny. Not everyone in a Hulk in Empire is a macrominer!
Reshape EVE for the future! Sell the 0.0 gates to player owned corps, and encourage an open ended universe. |

How about we just declare Goonswarm's insurance cancelled instead ? If you're making war on Empire soace, you can pay for your own damn ship losses.

You haven't played many trials then. Virtually all I've come across in the MMO arena access the full game but for a limited amount of time. Setting aside that those trialling EVE are the lifeblood of the game and that macro miners have been shown not to use trial accounts, do you honestly think a server filled with people all saying 'how do I?' is going to sell the game? One of the reasons I fell in love with EVE is that no matter the learning curve, there are helpful people out there who will explain something if I don't get it.
Not a chance. A bad idea indeed which won't help ISK spam or macro-mining at all. Preventing spam by preventing multiple identical messages repeatedly or simply lots of messages from the same person in a short time would be a lot more effective. ___ "If you can't debate using logic & fact, and at least recognise other people's point of view, don't waste time posting on forums. It's a decent idea, but I won't sign for it, mainly due to the fact stated already, that is trail holders can't "mingle" with older players. Why not just make it so that trail accounts can't send EVE mail to active accounts, unless the said trail account is in the active accounts "buddy" list, and also lock them out of any "active account" chats, like the trade chats, only let them have access to the help chatroom.
This should both cut down on ISK selling spam mails and let "legidimate" trail accounts play with active accounts members. |

So, they start the game on the free server, understand nothing of the game because the elders are not here to help, see nothing of corporations, see nothing of the huge market activity...
So, they quit!
Thanks for trying but corporate life, highly active market and for sure more stuff I didn't see I would miss if trying eve on a separate server for trials, are the things that made me choose eve.
You can't get new players in this sandbox game if you show them an empty sandbox! Players are part of the sand! -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !
