I don't know if this has been brought up, but I have 1k AUR sitting around, and I couldn't care less what kind of clothes you add to NEX, as it has no value for me. I have yet to even realize if someone is even wearing such an item. Now if I could buy a remap? well, I prolly would spend my AUR right now. Even get some more if it cost more than 1k AUR.
How about adding items that aren't completely valueless to me? |

As long as they don't take away the yearly free remap, then I'm in favor of offering remaps for Aurum. If you make a training plan and stick to it, then you can do fine without paying a thing - but if you're a bit more distractable, then you can give CCP some money and get a bit of extra convenience. |

this idea = Buy sp's with $$$
and you say nnnoooo its not, but really it is. if you can afford real monies you could remap more often and more than once a year, giving you an advantage over every one else with no monies.
We do not want this is the game, as it leads to creep...
once a year is more than the game worked with for the first 6 or so years when no remap was how many you got. |

Assuming equal implants, a character who uses a hypothetical NEX remap is no better off, SP-wise, than someone who uses his free remaps intelligently by making yearly plans and sticking to them. They still have to get just as many skill points for exactly the same skills. The only thing that changes is that the NEX user can jump around a lot more, training some Int/Mem skills one month and then Per/Will the next month, whereas the free user has to exercise self-discipline and think in terms of yearlong plans. |

I HATE money for in-game advantage, HOWEVER, I would support this.
Its in no way worse than someone spending a load of money on plexes and then buying a character from the bazaar, doesn't give a in battle advantage and is purely optional. Also the difference it would make in SPs is so minor that I don't think it really makes much of a difference.
The only worry I would have about this is the possibly it would open the door for more game changing nex items, which shouldn't really exist in pay to play game. |

Agreed, it has been brought up before.
My view is a resounding No. This IS paying for skillpoints. |

B*llocks.
Learning to fly most ships properly with all the correct modules spec'ed to max takes much less than 1 year. Your argument is only true if you are prepared to train your piloting skills then wait 12 months, adjust your attributes and then set your skill plan to fit the modules to your ship.

the idea was brought up before with PLEX for a remap, (which is effectively what? 3500 AUR for remap)
I think we all decided it was a bad idea as it allowed for rich people to negate the whole attribute system, and it started to devalue skill points. and it was dumped.
We have also agree's (hence month or rage, jita burning and all that jazz) that AUR is only to be used for vanity items. And this is not a vanity item.
Eve is about calculation, patience, and dealing with consequences. If you mess up your skill training plan or remap. Im afraid you will have to deal with it. If you cant, then I think we all agree, this is not the game for you, and it shouldn't be adjusted to make it easier for those who dont like playing like this. |

It was, in fact, the first thing that CCP ever mentioned as a form of MT, and was immediately gutshot, kicked in the balls, and then stabbed repeatedly by the playerbase until CCP promised never to do anything other than vanity MT. Not no bu hell no!!! you just assume have gold ammo if they start letting pilots get more remaps for money or sp for money but both are pretty much the same. This whole nex deal imo is crap. |

please no, People say that implants, which can be bought for isk which can be bought for plex which can be bought for money are the same thing, they are not!
implants can be lost or taken away from the player, but there is nothing that I can do to prevent you from getting that extra remap. This is selling SP for $$$ and there's no way around that.
In other MMOs selling leveling speed bonuses is ok because eventually everyone will reach level 85 or 65 or whatever, but in Eve, there is no cap which means that any way of selling SP for $$$ is selling power which is the day I leave this game I love. |
