what kind of raven setup would i be looking at to tank level fours by myself, i think i can only use tier one stuff, is it possible to do it with t1 stuff, and what would i have to train according to a good setup to use t2 stuff?

HI"S
6x 'Malkuth' Cruise Missile Launchers (rats weakest resist missiles)
MID"S
Large Shield Booster I 2x Invul Field II's 2x Rat Specific t2 active hardners Heavy Capacitor Booster II w/ 800 charges
LOW"S
Damage Control II 4x Ballistic Control System II's
the BCS's u can trade out for someother stuff but that for me easily tanks lvl 4's even if i jump right into the middle of them this is jus my setup for missions i get from gallente agents so yea.... but if it doesnt work out for u just think of somethin similiar

In highs, fit 6 malkuth cruise launchers and 1 or 2 heavy nos in mids, 1 XL shield booster, 1 shield amp, 4 * hardeners (mix and match to what you're fighting, use the named ones to keep CPU usage down) in lows, 2 * Ballistics and 3 * Power diags rigs, fit 3 CCC. That all comes to about 160m isk, which is pretty cheap. For an extra 20m or so you could fit arbalest launchers instead, which are a ton better, but you may find they dont quite fit with low skills. Prices are just a rough guide BTW, tho they shouldn't be far out. Better dead than smeg |

Even more important than the fit (I think at least) is getting good intel on each mission you do. Fit the right hardners and dmg type missiles, know what ships are triggers for spawns, which frigs warp scramble and need to be killed first, and where you can avoid aggro get distance and snipe.
www.eveinfo.com/missions/4 is a decent resource, there are others if you search for them.
Good t2 items to skill for:
- Power Diagnostic Systems - Invulnerablility Fields - Ballistic Control Systems
Are the basics, you can search in game and check the required skills for each, also the base skills related to capacitor and shields should be as high as you can get them (at least 3 or 4).

a lot of missions can be kited, even without ab. you just have to move away before aggroing.
if you do it right you need very little tank (and sp altogether).
stuff that swamps you at warpin can be problematic. thats where you might need a tank.
that being said, consider a drake for lvl4 starting. it might be safer, albeit a lot slower. i dunno i guess that depends on your piloting (ie doubleclick in space) skills.
also raven setups are all over the place. like those bright stains in CSI, when they check the crime scene with UV light. theyre everywhere

drake, though it is a lower class ship imo prob needs more sp to fly in a level 4, i mean for one thing your going to need every single 1 of those precious dps to kill some stuff
