With a heavy heart Armed War Monkeys announces its departure from Ka-Tet alliance. When we founded Ka-Tet over a year ago with our good friends RAM and Untaught (aka Tenacious Danes) we did so on the principles of self sufficiency and mutual respect. The name Ka-Tet reflected our desire to create an alliance where each corp was strong in itself and each worked in its own way towards a common goal, united by destiny. We will always remember with pride being the first to drop outposts in drone-space bringing the light of civilization to that dark corner of our universe. "First to build, first to lose" they said of us. They were poor prophets.
Alas, few things in this world are eternal and we feel that Ka-Tet no longer represents the ideals on which we founded it. We believe that Ka-Tet is still strong but we feel that we no longer have a place in it. So we leave our beloved Simian Prime and venture into an uncertain future. For now we will be basing in Fountain as part of Soul of Fountain. We look forward to continuing our growth as a corp there. We learned many lessons during our time in Ka-Tet: on how to hold space, on how to run an alliance, on how NOT to run an alliance and on what EVE means to each of us. We hope that our new home will provide us with new lessons so that we can improve even more.
Thank you to all our friends for supporting us and for allowing us to support you. We will not forget you.
Thank you to all our enemies for giving us something to struggle against. We will not forget you.
Thank you to all our monkeys past and present who gave us a reason to keep working to build the future. We will remember you forever.

Best of luck guys. One of the best and most unique corporations I have ever had the pleasure of being part of. The care that AWM took for its members above it self and the tight knit "family" nature of the way it was run and conducted its business is something that always continued to surprise me in a way and something that I never got used to. Never forget you dudes either.
As such I am sure that this is done in the best interests of the pilots who fly under the banner, and wish you guys the best of luck whatever you choose to do from here, though I am confident you will succeed at it anyway .
